I think this league is a great example of how your play philosophy differs from Phil. Phil would also 100% play this deck but aggressively mulligan to the A+B combo. Your ability to keep reasonably functional hands and drag the game out until you can get there is incredible. Phil goes way too hard on mulligans. This is how janky combo decks should be played

@@MackNJacishopper I've joked for years how my casual didgeridoo Minotaur deck doesn't "count to 20" like a typical agro deck. It counts to 40. It is decidedly "win more" and barely interacts with the opponent outside of combat, but when it wins the opponent dies at something like -10 to -20 from 1-2 swings. Decks like these lack consistency and try to make up for it with raw potential power.

A deck like this makes me wonder if you'd be down to play a deck with stuff manabarbs, the new creature version of manabarbs coming the the Duskmourn Rakdos precon, the 5 mana enchantment that halves their life each time they take damage, or other group slug cards like Descent to Avernus and Reprocussion. Your Smallpox decks are often some of my favorite videos, and I enjoy seeing off-meta decks like this one.

If opponent controls both triggers, he has to order them before anything, therefore, only the first one was gonna exile the archon because it's not tied to emperor being in play. I love false cure! There is a red enchantment that gives the enemy players 10 life for i think 3 mana. I really would love to see if that could be expanded into a combo deck but its just a bit too slow for legacy since it needs 5 total mana and is a 2 card combo

Aria of Flames! Anyway that card also does good damage with cantrips you can respond to the ETB of aria with false cure or cast cure in advance and cleave the oppos HP in half but then you'd still need a bunch of cantrips to win
