I have ptsd and MDD, I have childhood trauma, and I have struggled since childhood with depression and SI. I microdosed for the first time and it wasn’t what I expected, in the very best way. I didn’t hallucinate and I didn’t feel “high.” I felt the most “normal” I had felt in years, if ever. It brought me to tears. It was the first night I didn’t struggle with the black cloud that lingers regardless of what I have tried... We have so ignorantly ignored the most vital creation in our existence.

Not necessary. A dickhead stays a dickhead. I believe in psilocibin therapeutic effects but it can also be a super way to escape reality and therefore make you more miserable. If you know that nothing from outside can bring you redemption then you might try mushrooms in a sacred "special" self reflection time. Once again it is not a shortcut but it can definitely help for healing cptsd if you do it for that purpose and already know how to navigate. Opening certain parts of your psyche can be dangerous

This man is literally changing the world. I’m bipolar type 1 and I struggle pretty heavy with it. I am medicated and I take my medication, but even so, sometimes it isn’t enough. I’ve experimented with microdosing psilocybin recently and I have been having profound results. Consistently, I have been able to identify signs of coming episodes, something I haven’t been able to previously do despite therapy and medication, and plan accordingly. I can go on and on, but long story short, my life has completely changed for the better. I’ve decided to stop smoking since starting microdosing and have been smoke free for a solid 4 months now, without any desire for it. I’m back to working out, taking better care of myself, and finding enjoyment in life I’ve never had before. This man is a treasure and I cannot emphasize how much his research has helped me.

this man is a genius! I was fortunate enough to have grown up in south Florida around cow pastures back in 1973. I had no idea until I skipped my high school graduation and went with buddy by van with our dirt bikes to Gainesville, mushroom mecca at the time. That is when I found out its the same mushroom that is all over where I ride my bikes back in Deerfield beach lol. I know the benefits that Paul talks about and more. I believe it gave my brain a kick in the ass to want to learn everything this being one. I was a troubled kid in trouble all the time, terrible in school. had my 3 year love affair with mushrooms I always missed. I went on to a wonderful career in aviation flight test and much more I know I owe to those years! Now I am retired disabled vet and my memory is not so hot and depression can be a monster to anyone. Because I knew what it did for me is how I wound up finding this site. After fantastic fungi I was convinced I can get it myself. thanks so much

I've been interested in the subject of mycology for 20+ years and after roofing homes and building powerboats and yachts I have landed my self in a position at a mushroom farm/facility and am swimming in the sea of mycology and have never felt more fulfilled by my work. Little did I know I've owned mycomedicinals since 2005 and now I'm into it for real and it's Mr stamets book , 😲

I'm 63 and great to see physadelics are being used for therapy, well being and reconnecting with nature and ourselves. Working on decriminalizing mushrooms in Missoula Montana. Share your concerns about commercialization of a sacred substance. I have learned recently with the right guidance they are easy to grow😉

I am 69..used to live in Missoula and Helena in the 70's. Presently am in a town not too far from Paul Stamets in Port Orchard, WA. Would you be willing to share your grow and legal information with me? Just one experience with psilocybin changed the trajectory of my life when I was 23. It stayed with me and I can recall it whenever I want to smile.

Many blessings to you and your words of wisdom. My life has changed after MD and I will never be stuck again in a cycle of despression and anxiety. I am so GRATEFUL for this sacred natural medicine. I hope more people will discover joy in their life and the mushrooms revealed to me the simple truths of life. I am a much happier person and live in the moment. I hope to share my story some day after I have more time to integrate what my soul already new..but had forgotten in this distracting, turbulant world. Love to all!

Yep to my first microdose and eureka. Thanks to Paul for his dedication and belief. It work folks. Nothing bad happens lol. It’s a friggin mushroom. Like weed it’s natural. Shrooms associated with death and rebirth in nature. So shrooms helps you let go and start anew.

I'm really glad that mushrooms have had a positive outcome in your life. You take the next step when you deem yourself ready to do so and not beforehand! Some here question what it is that mushrooms do for you and what they don't seem to understand is that the experience is different for everyone, every time you consume them. The veterans that I work with here in Colorado have had very positive outcomes in their use of mushrooms in dealing with their PTSD's. So for anyone questioning the effects of mushrooms on anybody, all I can tell you is to try it for yourself. Be sure to have a close friend who is not tripping be present to help you be safe and then form your own opinion.

“At least 5 grams” is so wrong lol. If you’re 100 pounds and take one of the stronger species like Psilocybe Cyanescens or Azurescens, you could achieve ego death/ hallucinations on like 2g

Be carefull. Natural does not mean, non toxic. A lot of people think...What is natural never harms. But if you study nature, you will change your mind. Nature is fascinating. Nature cures. Nature kills. Nature makes sick. Nature is complicated. Nature is..., well... Do allways research profoundly on things you use.

So glad I watched this! I've been interested in researching and supporting the use of psilocybin mushrooms since they saved my life nearly a decade ago. Psilocybin changed the way my brain works, permanently. I was depressed, disconnected from friends and nature, and microdosing for a month changed that. I had more fulfilling conversations, made connections, and felt like a kid again when I went out in the woods to explore. Colors were brighter. It really does make you feel at one with things instead of isolated. We'll see a big change in the world when it is legalized.

I absolutely agree with Paul's assertion that post experience of trip, the re-remembering of the experience itself brings mental health benefits........why? For me its the epiphany of seeing the world absent ego and without past experience reference. This truly brings an understanding of how constructed my normal perception is releasing me from taking "normality" too seriously.
