Did they use sprites for the ropes? or was it tiles / chars?

I guess tiles would make more sense as they can be more easily tracked in the memory.

It's chars and the claw is a sprite.

@@ScottyBrockway Thought so. It looks like they are dynamically drawing into the tiles where the ropes are, and the claw itself is a sprite. Pretty nifty programming.
