Somehow I forgot to watch this last week, but I've finally gotten to it here. During August of that year, someone I was friends with received this set along with a much larger and store-exclusive set for his 10th birthday, though I was far more envious of that one in itself. I would eventually obtain Hydraxon from a Toys R Us location on Saturday September 29, 2007, after finishing the fourth week of my 4th grade year, as my Titan set from the later half of that year. Though this set doesn't have many unique elements, the "Shark Tooth Blade" recolored in silver also appears in one other set, even if was far more rare in itself. Hyrdraxon is also the first Bionicle set to use the Exo-Force robot arms in gunmetal as his fingers, even though they actually first appeared in the second version of the "Trade Federation MTT" (7662) from Star Wars in June 2007. They also came in a minifigure-scale Bionicle set (8927) with three other appearances in 2008 before they were phased out. Hydraxon is also the largest set to have the rounded Inika feet in black (used here as shoulder armor), though they made one last appearance in 2009 before being phased out, as was a similar case for the webbed Piraka feet in the same color but not identical. The same part in silver would not be seen again until 2009, with all of its remaining appearances in that color being in Titan or Vehicle-size sets. But perhaps more surprising is how Hydraxon marks the final appearance of the Toa Metru style of eye stock in transparent fluorescent green (neon green), leaving only the transparent fluorescent reddish-orange one introduced with Nokama's Metru form (8602) as the last remaining color of this part...

i would say, he's not that big of a titan when compared to previous years. 2003-2005 really had tall titans compared to the toa of those years. 2006 had axonn, who was slightly taller than a toa, but much beefier and I feel hydraxon fits in this archetype of slightly taller titan.
