Maxilos is absolutely amazing as a constraction figure. And lore-wise, he's possessed by Makuta? Just awesome.

Didn't expect to see this so early. Either way, Maxilos and Spinax was the only wide-release Titan set from 2007 which I didn't have, being that the other two Titan sets from that year which I didn't have were both store-exclusives. But those are different stories. The only time I ever saw this set in person was when a friend of someone I was friends with brought him to a hangout on Friday, December 28, 2007 (referred to as "midpoint" in some contexts). At 3:35, the silver Piraka knee armor debut here, and appear in just two other sets after this. They also appear in two other colors in 2008 and '09 respectively, in addition to a final appearance in their last remaining origin color of Metru red. Spinax is also the second and final set to have the Visorak-style double socket joints in medium stone gray, and the silver rubber spikes also appeared in two sets (7038 and 7092) from the "Fantasy era" of Castle (2007-09), and a Space Police III set (5980) in 2009 before the part was phased out completely. On Maxilos, the Toa Metru feet in gunmetal on his knees are exclusive, and around 9:57 the "Vacuum Shields" from Lehvak-Kal (8576) are recolored in gunmetal, and also appeared in one other set during 2007. Maxilos is also the final set to have the Slizer limbs and the Visorak double socket joints in Mata red, both of which debuted in Roporak (8745) from 2005. He also marks the final appearance of the Hordika style of chest armor. He also features the "Aqua Warblade" from Hewkii Mahri (8912) repurposed as his "Twin-Bladed Black Fire Swords" as you mentioned, which also mark the last appearance of the Technic offset axle connectors in transparent red. But more minutely, he is also the final set to have the dark stone rubberized socket joints which had been in use since 2005.

Correction: The Hordika chest armor had one other appearance in a much larger set from 2007, before it was phased out. Even though that set was much more rare overall.

man maxilos is such a awsome set, great review! also the reason why his legs are very loose is becuse of the ball joint socket with axle connector thath has rubber inside so thath might be a con if you are buying this set used, or it could just be the fact thath the legs are very heavy. one question: what is your opinion on lesovikk becuse i am planning to buy him and i really like him so do you too?

Considering I just got not too long ago I did bought him brand new because of those bad lime joints even i didn’t have to do all that I could just got a couple keelerak sets to replace the lime green joints but yes I think Lesovikk is definitely awesome
