i suffer from bipolar 1 and this time of year has been super hard on me, so i’ve been going thru varying episodes of manic and depressive psychosis. i’ve been hospitalized over my episodes a few times, and i truly do understand how he doesn’t remember what happened. i don’t remember anything of what happens during my episodes. i describe it as a blackout where it’s just a gap in my memory, but a lot of neurotypicals don’t seem to understand or “like” that explanation. it sucks. to the one guy in chat who said “it’s things like this that make me thankful i have control over my own brain”: yes. always be thankful for that. it’s so so hard to live with a chronic illness that affects literally every single thing you do from the thoughts you have to the way you walk and talk to the person you grow up to be. all involuntary and incurable and denied by many because it’s “not physically visible”. rant over ig ❤

Another thing people don't seem to understand is that, if you've been on antidepressants, those are difficult enough. But those for bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, etc, can be harder to cope with because they can cause weight gain and binge eating.

I have bpd and I've had 2 serious psychotic breaks in my life. The first one resulted in having mild psychosis for over a year and the second was a 6 month long manic depressive episode. The psychosis happened before my diagnosis so I was unmedicated. Luckily I didn't have any violent tendencies so my delusions only really resulted in self harm. I would hallucinate people standing outside my window and in the corner of my room at night time. I thought my aunt and mum switched bodied. I thought my boyfriend was secretly only dating me so he could put cameras in my room and stream my life to the Internet. It was a really scary point in my life. I started sleeping in my parents room at the grown age of 16/17 because I didn't want the demons to get me. I'm sure how but it kinda just stopped one day.

It's not just about the strain of the weed, it's the terpenes & level of them in the strain. Like limonene is uplifting & mycerene is relaxing but there are sativa strains that are high in limonene or indica strains high in mycerene. Look at the terpenes in the strains, that's what will determine the effects you're looking for whether it be for anxiety, depression, pain, etc. Love your content!

And actually it's even been found that while they do affect the feel of the THC, it's more about the ratios of different cannabinoids, for example if you have a strain higher in thcV and a lower ratio of cbd, like Durban poison, you get a strain known for the still calming but energetic feeling that its known for, but it's a double edged sword because it's also the cannabinoid that causes the most anxiety, hence why some people only smoke indicas.

I still had dreams of sugar plum fairies dancing in my head, of actually helping people and doing good things for the community. But yeah, they ended up being like that guy in the video lol. Or laughing at me when they saw a tampon in the shared bathroom. Or making inappropriate comments to me. Violent and racist and sexist language. There were maybe two total over those couple of years that didn’t behave that way and that I had confidence could properly handle their weapon and badge. So yeah, ACAB. Using my degree for fraud prevention instead. I still get to investigate and research, but I’m mitigating financial loss for people victim to ID theft or account takeovers which feels more beneficial.

Idek if you can call even call that weed psychosis.. that indicates its anything like weed, the psychosis from spice is like fucking pcp, or meth, like straight up shadow people coming after you, it causes hallucinations that are so undistinguishable from reality (think the hallucinations from benedryl which is a deliriant in high doses) that it causes people to dig holes into their bodies thinking they feel bugs

44:56 "Indica and stevia" I didn't know weed was a sugar replacement. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sativa for one. For two, I smoke both and there is a huge difference between them. One, you feel more in the body. Sativas are more in the head. They also make you more aware and "wide awake" which can definitely lead to anxiety, not that indicas can't do the same, anxiety wise. But, sativas are super nice to meditate on in my opinion. Closing your eyes high makes you feel floaty. Indicas make you feel more bodily relaxed and they'll both put you sleep, you'll just stay up longer with a sat and feel more relaxed for the sleep with an indica.
@zeallust8542 Жыл бұрын
Btw everything you said about weed here is literally incorrect and has been studied dozens of times and proven wrong every single time. Sativas vs Indicas does not determine your high, the only thing that does is the turpine types. There are plenty of indicas that align with what people think sativa is supposed to do, and vice versa. Moreso than all of that, the biggest thing that effects your high is mindset.

People with schizophrenia can't smoke weed from what I understand. It triggers episodes. I could be wrong, though. This is mostly acedotal. Any time my cousin (who does have schizophrenia) tried to smoke with my uncle, he'd have an episode. This one time he thought he was being attacked by demons, got nude and started fighting the air. 😅

Not a big fan of the way that narrator throws out body language phrases and mental diagnoses the way he does. People who aren't knowlegable in for example bipolar will most likely see this video and how the narrator gave that disorder as an example and then assume bipolar people are wild murderers.
