I know a girl that became TERRIFIED of snakes because one time when she was tripping on acid, a snake happened to show up on tv, and it just turned into a nightmare based on snakes afterward. I found out because she worked at my local hobby lobby at the time, and I usually bring one of my snakes or monitors with me when I go there (they let you bring in pets). She literally screamed bloody murder, had to run to the break room, and was sobbing uncontrollably for at least 5 minutes. I felt terrible, but even she told me later it wasn’t my fault because how could I know she’d had that experience. She wanted to overcome her fear of snakes and I helped her with that, she even got to the point where she could touch one. Unfortunately due to an abusive relationship she had to leave suddenly, but I hope she’s doing well. I don’t recommend acid.

In all honesty, believing your hallucinations are completely real (in all ways) can happen to people with schizophrenia. For me, I've not been diagnosed, but I get hallucinations that rage in intensity and I get paranoia and when I have hallucinations, I genuinely can't tell the difference between hallucinations and reality. The hallucinations ARE real to me while they're happening. It's honestly really scary sometimes but I've been that way my whole life 😅

Acid stopped my auditory hallucinations. I have no earthly idea why or how, but I stopped hearing things that weren't there. The best explanation I can think of is that I had undiagnosed ptsd and accidentally did psychedelic therapy, but I can't be sure. Downside, I have hppd and everything gets real weird sometimes Drugs are weird like that

BRUH. I’ve done the gas station fweed, too. Shit was BAD. My vision became like a kaleidoscope, I couldn’t move or speak and had to consciously remind myself to breathe. I got really nauseated but no puking. I ended up falling asleep standing up, hit my head on the side of a brick house, then fell thru a glass door, hitting my head again, on a cement floor. One of the guys who was there was talking about how I was either dead or mentally r$tarded, after that (I couldn’t talk or move and got confused when he said to blink once if I was okay and twice if I wasn’t, since I was initially thinking, “yeahhhh… I’m okay..?” Then realized I wasn’t sure if I was okay or not and just started blinking a lot). He was talking about “getting rid of the body”, throwing “the body” in the pool to get rid of it (while I’m coherent enough to hear this shit), freaking out, since he didn’t want to call an ambulance or get caught dropping me off, since he didn’t want to get caught doing the fweed. Shit was baaaaaad.

I have multiple datura plants in my yard (their flowers are beautiful and they're great for pollinators) and I've been thinking of getting into psychedelics. Maybe start with some shrooms and see how I like it, then trying some stronger/more experimental stuff, like LSD, microdosing morning glory (which I also have), maybe even DMT if I can get my hands on it. But one thing I'll never try is datura.

Yo my first (and only) time doin lsd was 4 doses and it was the worst experience of my life, I think I knew it was the drug but I also thought it was permanent. Every sound was gibberish or some nightmarish cacophony of wild and artificial howling. I was clenching the shit outta my jaws and I had the feeling of being on a never ending rollercoaster. Everything was moving all over, couldn't even close my eyes to escape it bc it made the body feel 1000x worse. At one point I thought I couldn't open my eyes so therefore was dead. Lasted for 18 hrs but felt way longer. Bad trip.

it depends on the person, i have done acid so many times and i dont have any disorders at all, i have had bad trips and i took too much sometimes but im fine. not saying it isnt dangerous at all, but i know a lot of people who are also fine which have done it a lot. its a slippery slide for sure, its unpredictable

For me, bad trips brought shit forward but I'm kind of realizing that my issues don't stem from psychs so much as those were the catalyst. In a sense I'm almost relieved that I found out through that because now that I have symptoms that are highly noticeable I'm realizing that there were signs of it earlier so odds are it would've been triggered at some point anyway, so now I have more time to deal with it before I graduate and try to start a life of my own.

Hello, I'm super late to comment on this but as someone who was addicted to k2 for 2 and a half years I am so sorry they tricked you into smoking that. That stuff pretty much ruined my life for those 2 and a half years and I'm STILL living with the effects 11 years later. It's killed some people on their very first time using it. Withdrawel from K2 has been compared to being just as bad if not worse than heroin withdrawel and it was hell when I went through it. I'm so sorry they did that to you.

Ya, the thing with psychedelics is that you really really do need to plan or be in a good headspace before you do them. Even though I had done them multiple times up to this point, and definitely knew what to expect, the last time I did them I was with people who I barely knew and didn't particularly like or trust, and sure enough they abandoned me during our trip and I wound up alone in an empty room terrified for at least five hours. I would try to close my eyes and sleep, but you can't- you're on this roller coaster and you're not getting off for 6 whole hours whether you like it or not. I like shrooms a lot (my first and second trips were honestly amazing and I felt great) and I would do them again, but going forward I will be exponentially more careful about who I do it with and where I am both physically and psychologically.

Weed fucked me up too. I took way too much (25 mg edible of sativa) and was basically panicky and paranoid for 6 hours until I fell asleep. All I did was sit there rocking back and forth trying not to lose my shit/puke. I was convinced I was dying/already dead, and I couldn't speak. Nothing felt real. None of my friends helped me because they didn't want to make me worse. Then I was still high the next day. After that I was horribly depressed and had severe depersonalization for months. Life felt muffled, like I was behind a pane of glass. I never thought it would end, and it was the lowest point in my life. Anyone I tell doesn't believe me and just say it was all in my head, but I can't trick my brain into feeling that way again no matter how hard I try, and I've never felt that way before. I'm just happy it ended over a year ago. I do have issues with anxiety though. It was moderate before, but after that it's a little more severe.

OMG in my country you used to see trees of datura (we call it here Floripondio) everywhere. It's kinda common drug to drink in tea as far as I know, it's not THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT bad or terrible, you just gotta be mentally ok that day. The goverment had to erase the trees 'cause people got high af when they find out it was a drug, I mean, it was a free drug in every corner of Buenos Aires. Some people have trees in their houses, it's a beautiful tree and flower. But yeah, don't do it if your unstable that week. Honestly the meth story reminds me of when my friends tricked me into sniffing fet cut with plantfood (legal high at the time) that was a really fucked up couple weeks they robbed me while I was out but I ended up getting back at them when Ive been on and off with one of there girlfriends for years and was basically best friends with her before he met her so when she found out what he done she dropped his spare key off at my mates and told him to do what he wants and everything that happened after that point can get alot of decent people in trouble but I was fucked up half the time and the situation was honestly way too much when I sobered up I litteraly ended up leaving all my stuff behind I had left and got out of the situation the second I could it wasn't even my issue I just ended up getting involved because someone was mad I used to shag his girlfriend and wanted to get at me for it and then I felt like because they helped me to sort that out I needed to help them with anything else when it came to those guys I didn't consider how far we had taken it untill my friends thaught something really bad had happened and they came in panicking the thing they thaught happened didn't happen but the fact we all thaught it did was one of the most gutwrenching moments of my life I wasnt there when it didnt happen and for legal reasons I dont know the bad thing that didn't happen but I think its safe to say the way they were acting I thought it was a verry hopless situation
