Playing as Delta in my opinion, isnt like playing a random driveless protagonist. It feels like you are that one Big Daddy that somehow broke free from the mind-controlling pheromones or whatever they are called, and genuinely have a connection to Eleanor, your little sister, and you actually WANT to find her. Sophia Lamb feels more like your Arch-nemesis than Andrew Ryan, as Jack wasnt all of his problems. Also, i find Deltas unknown backstory to be a mystery i can ponder myself. Thinking what had led him into Rapture is intriguing to me, and i feel like thats enough plot for me. Mechanics and texture-wise, im still very impressed. Playing around with the Drill by an auto-fuel-refill is fun, and the other guns you have also dont run out of ammo after one small fight, and are very satisfying to use. Plasmids were fine. As the guy in the vid said, we could've had more. I honestly really like Bioshock 2 more than Bioshock 1 and Infinite, because it just has a different feel that i really enjoy. If you disagree with any of these points, feel free to discuss.

Compared to what? Bioshock 2 had the best gameplay in the series, it streamlined things that needed to be fixed (like hacking) and gave us more tools to prepare for situations. If you talk about a plot perspective then you are right, 1 had better characters and history. Bioshock infinite is a travesty that shouldnt be taken into account at all.

You are randomly in a creepy place with creepy creatures and randomly people want to help you out while being mysterious themselves...come on bro what moron didn't see that twist ending coming if you even wanna call it that. Bioshock was is fallout 3 while Bioshock 2 is fallout New Vegas. Smaller game but more to do and it's just that simple.

what? that should be completely the other way around, after infinite came out, 2 suddenly looked much better to it's former detractors what does infinite do better than bioshock 2? it got rid of ammo types; it had less powers; hacking had ANY semblance of skill removed and is now just a power; it has less weapons; what weapons it has have little impact outside of the handcannon; it has a 2 weapon carry limit; it's story actually literally makes no sense if you are smart enough to already know various time travel and alternate universe theories, it's a paradox on multiple levels hell, bioshock 2 even does the father-daughter relationship better, WITH A MUTE PROTAGONIST! bioshock 2 is objectively a better game than infinite, and the only reason it has a bad rep is because of ken levine fanboys spreading shit about it

I've always preferred Delta to Jack. Jack is an everyman that lets the player explore Rapture as themselves, because everything in Rapture is just as new to him as it is to us the first time around. He is a stranger in a strange land, and our journey through Rapture is to discover why he was brought here just as much as it is to get out of Rapture alive. Delta, on the other hand, isn't a completely blank slate; he's a character that existed in Rapture long before we took control of him, and I'm not just saying that because because we jump 10 years into the future at the start. He was a figure in Rapture, and every named character you meet knows him on some level and has history with him. But the Delta they knew isn't necessarily the Delta that exists now, and you are given the choice about who exactly Delta has become with each revelation that comes your way. That in particular is why I prefer Delta. Jack knows nothing about Rapture, so our choice to save or harvest Little Sisters is a matter of a much simpler moral dilemma: Do we care about these random children enough to help them or do we sacrifice them for our own ends? With Delta's history and the exposition that recounts it, each decision becomes just a bit more personal: Do we actually care for Eleanor and the other Little Sisters, or are we just out to save ourselves like Lamb keeps suggesting? Are we willing to forgive past transgressions or are there some grudges we just can't let go? With Delta, these things remain relevant across multiple playthroughs, as the first playthrough presents Delta almost as if he has amnesia as we don't know anything about him, while later playthroughs give us a Delta that knows and remembers much more about his past, which justifies certain changes in demeanor across multiple playthroughs. With Jack, you're essentially playing a different incarnation of him each time, as there is no way he is aware of what is happening in Rapture prior to his arrival and has no impetus for character development beyond player input, which ironically makes him parallel the various incarnations of Booker in Bioshock Infinite who remained unaware of the various timelines. Of course, that's just my take on it.

@@Sneaky_racoon_sly A lot of that sounds like personal preference and issues with your individual playstyle. I mean ammo spawns relative to how much you shoot and is extremely abundant on lower difficulties, as are health kits, Eve hypos, and food, and the constriction of resources adds tension and encourages you to get good at aiming and also encourages you to swap weapons frequently to go through multiple sets of ammo, give em the old one-two punch, and optimize your gene tonics. There's also turret and camera hacking, trap placement, tactical play, and just knowing when, where and how to pick a fight. I personally had none of these issues on higher difficulty runs, and the presentation of the plot and aesthetics is almost entirely subjective.

i found myself quite attached to delta far more then booker or jack, i think it's because he was faceless, the player saw the suit but never the man behind it, thus i think it lead to people imagining who it could've been, or perhaps even picturing yourself as delta, and i think that worked really well

this Bubbly Goodness. The thing i like about delta is that his desions hit you more while your playing the game then just at the end. It felt more terrible to harvest little sistets in 2 because in 1 Jack felt more like a survivor and just did what he did to survive, while delta instead felt more like a monster when he did it because he was meant to protect them in the first place. His action during also kind of shows wiether or not he has genuine paternal feeling for Elanor making the ending have a bit more impact then the first one.

#1 Bioshock 2 is not a disappointing game. Not as good as the first one, but not a bad game, by far. #2 Big Daddy's ARE NOT ROBOTS! You played the first game, you should know this. #3 Why "beef things up" and add a lot of crazy shit if the foundation is already solid? IMO, adding more crazy plasmids would be a BAD thing, as plasmids were already a thing in Bioshock 1. Why would there suddenly be a whole new slew of crazy plasmids everywhere? #4 Of course the Big Daddy uses weapons, did you even play the first one? Oh wait... You did. #5 Why complain about the horde mode when a little sister starts scavenging? It's literally what happens when she extracts Adam, it attracts splicers. Always been that way, why complain? They're addicts that desperately want Adam to feed on. #6 You DID sign up for this! YOU WANTED TO PLAY THE GAME! Honestly feels like you're complaining just for the sake of complaining.

I love how you called Delta a robot when Jack was literally mind controlled throughout 80% of the game lmao. I can admit that the game had flaws, perhaps not enough *new* things, but at the same time I like many others adored it as much as or even more than the first. Delta was just as silent a protagonist as Jack, but he at least made his own decisions. He was created just as much as Jack was, but he still somehow had more heart to him.

If i may interject. i can see where the disappointment comes from. We were given the idea that WE as players were gonna play as A Big Daddy! Holy shit that sounds awesome right?? Nope. the developers nerf the shit out of this daddy because it will be toooo easssssy. yet you as the player are encountering so many annoying things that a big daddy should be handling with a breeze! And dont even give the excuse this was the first bug daddy either because we are still big daddys. Story wise. motivation- your daughter is taken by her bitch mama and you gotta save her! adventure away!! not this is a bad thing but i think or theorize that the big story told in bioshock 1 and the big twist left everyone with...meh on the story department. Its what Gerard said it best. this game could have been more but sadly it did not deliver. But it still got praised from its fans and you can count me as one of them. Though i cannot help agree that this game could have been more. (lord knows the dlc diddnt help out)

+MrIronWar if i also may interject bioshock 2 has far better combat then the first one, which is now totally outdated and it was toooooo easssssssy, i 100% the whole thing on the ps4, and yeah it's meant to create challenge, because challenge creates effort, and effort leads to motivation, it would be fucking boring as shit otherwise, it's even on the wiki that stated that alpha series were a weaker then later production, but made up for it with speed, plasmids and larger variety of weaponry of course, yeah pick on the story, that seems to be the only thing people seem to scrape at it, but the characters were far better, i didn't give a fuck about atlas, or ryan, or jack, or that lady that died in the forest thing, at least in bioshock 2 there were people i actually had a little bit of feelings for, like sinclair, elenor, grace holloway, even the little sisters weren't annoying shits like the first one so forgive me, but i will be disagreeing with you and this review

MrIronWar combat feels a lot easier with delta then with jack to be fair. I,ve taken on other big daddies with ease and delta does feel to me like he packs a more punch then jack. I know you dont wanna hear the exuse that he isnt as strong as a bouncer or riveter because hes an older version but its still viable though I guess from the perspective of a fan of the first one hearing that bioshock 2 has come out and you get to play as a big daddy you would feel dissapointed being handed delta instead of a bouncer.

It seems you've got more than a fair share of people who are disagreeing with you. I am sorry to say that I am going to have to add to that share. Context: I rented the first game a few years ago, not when it first came out, but sometime after the second was released. I rented the first game and immediately fell in love with it. I loved the story, I loved the exploration and finding all of the audio logs, I loved the cool abilities you gained, quite a bit more than the weapons actually. I didn't avoid them so much as I preferred using stealth and the good ol monkey wrench or mixing it up with the plasmids. And I loved being able to choose between a good and a bad path. I could never bring myself to harvest, and felt quite rewarded at the end when the results of my moral choices showed their gravity on Jack. Later on, like a week later I rented Bioshock 2. I wasn't overhyped or anything, I never really let myself get hyped. I figured that I would enjoy the game however. And I did really enjoy the game. Everything about it felt like an upgrade. Well, there was one thing I missed. I missed the monkey wrench because it overall seemed a faster melee. But the weapons and plasmids seemed much better. I also loved the story. The story of the first game was very good admittedly, but I also felt that most of the high points for me were with the twist and the end. Other than that, I never really felt emotionally invested in Jack. I also disagreed with the idea that Andrew Ryan was ever really an objectivist. He was never as morally ambiguous as everybody said. He's supposed to be some representation of objectivism, but he never was, from the beginning he was a tyrant, he censored free speech in public, believing that it was good enough that somebody could pray in their own homes, he banned the free movement of goods and people from entering or leaving Rapture. And he was okay with children being kidnapped and experimented on, which as a libertarian I see that as infringements on their rights. And lastly, he did not like the choices the free market made, when Fontaine was rising up, Andrew sought to crush his competition, ultimately through violence, and when he "killed" Fontaine, he nationalized Fontaine's business. Ultimately, he was created to be this representation of how objectivism would fail, but failed at actually representing objectivism. He was a personified straw man. Ironically, it is Bioshock 2 that actually gives him more of a personality. While he still represents a flawed understanding of objectivism, he seems much more of a human than in the first game. He's also given the foil in the form of Sophia Lamb. Sophia Lamp is a villain I loved to hate. Because I've known people that were just like her, collectivists willing to sacrifice innocent people for the "good of the people". She felt less like a representation of a flawed misunderstanding of some idealogy, and more of a spot on representation of a very real line of thinking that just happened to have been brought to it's logical conclusion. And I felt more emotionally invested in Subject Delta. This man who had accidentally discovered Rapture and harmed by both Sophia Lamb AND Andrew Ryan. He had no reason to like either of the two. But at the least Andrew Ryan contained his tyranny to Rapture. Sophia wanted to force hers on the rest of mankind, just like many other collectivists. But through the experimentation he gained a bond with Eleanor Lamb, to protect her like she was his own, whether it killed him or not. And she too begins to see Delta like a father. So in a way Bioshock 2 is like a custody battle. But as you go through the game, you are given more choices than just whether or not to save or harvest the Little Sisters, and it became clear that the choices you made were seen by Eleanor Lamb. All along you were teaching her. And while a part of me may have enjoyed the possibility of killing Sophia in revenge, ultimately it felt oh so much more satisfying to prove her wrong. There was a monster in Rapture, and it wasn't Delta. So story wise, I greatly enjoyed it more than the second. The second game may not be as good as the first overall, but the game I replay more and more is the second one. The story and the combat scratch all of those itches just right.. After renting the games I bought them and in the past few years I bought them on PC, so I've also got the remastered versions for free. All in all, I think a lot of people allow themselves to get overhyped for a game only to find out that it's not the unicorn they had in their head. But even if Bioshock 2 doesn't beat the first game, I don't think it's right to push the blame for overhyping yourself up. It was a really good game and when it came out, it wasn't like there were ads all over the place about how somebody was going to make you their bitch. It promised a good game, it delivered a good game. The irony is that the video states they reused assets, and it's like "no shit they reused assets". But I can't remember any locations being the same and that's far more than could be said about a lot of sequels. Honestly though I can't quite understand how that is a bad thing. It's the same setting, things are going to look the same unless they use a different engine or art style. The fact you made it a point of criticism makes me wonder just what you were expecting. I mean, most games tend to reuse assets. Majora's Mask reused Ocarina of Time's assets, but this was a good thing because the devs could focus on the actual game rather than making entirely new assets. Most Mario games reuse assets, especially the new super mario bros games. And it wouldn't make sense to completely remake said assets, because they would just end up looking the same anyway. Final Fantasy X-2 used FFX's assets. Again, not a problem, it took place in the same setting, and honestly it felt a little jarring at times when places looked different, such as Kilika. Jak 3 used the same assets, but again it was often jarring when sections of haven city were different. I could go on and on. Point is, bringing up how they reused assets seems more than a little nit-picky. I thought maybe you just allowed yourself to become overhyped, but now that I think about it, it seems more like you went in expecting to hate it and needed to justify this assumption. That's why you had to resort to bringing up it's reuse of assets.

I don't understand why Gerard says Delta is soulless and a robot. First, he's not a robot and secondly he did have a soulless connection to Eleanor but was broken when he died. Which is why when he is ressurected, he starts to die. That's why Delta is able to make decisions instead of just mercilessly killing every important character that comes along. I kinda disagree with a lot of points. First, I really liked the little defense sections. Second, I think the story is WAY more involved, along with you being able to relate to the protagonist a lot better. You actually have a goal, reuniting with your "daughter". That alone makes it more emotional, as the goal in the first is kill Andrew Ryan, and then kill Fontaine. I felt more of a connection with the characters. And to say Subject Delta is soulless??? He does have a goal, which i stated already. He even has a past as Johnny Topside! The people you meet interact with you in more interesting ways, and you have more of an impact on the world, hence the many endings. (which I agree that there's too many, but I also don't make a living 100% games so. I get why some things can get worse the more you play it.) Jack is more soulless. You are literally a puppet through the whole game, YOUR choices are another's, the only emotional payoff is the ending. The main twist is a little more for shock. Jack has no goals, and hardly has a past. Now, I enjoy the mystery of the first, but that is all it is. Bioshock 2 trades the mystery, with a more involved story. Third, your complaint about repetition makes NO sense to me. Yes, there isn't much variety, but to notice it in this one, and overlook it in the first one, shows much bias, I think. The puzzles are repetitive, the combat is repetitive, I honestly did not need to change up tactis for anything. It feels like they wanted players to explore more tactical sides of combat, but just blasting your way through is so effective that you don't really need to. The defense sections added more of a reason to use the more tactical plasmids. It is a lot of the first Bioshock, but I do feel as if it adds and improves. I don't think the story makes you think as much, but I do think it gives you more of a connection to its world and characters. But I do understand that maybe you missed some of this in playing it 6 times in a row. Sorry for the essay. I just had a lot to say.

I don't understand. I loved Bioshock 2 the most out of any of the others. When I had to protect my Little Sister, I felt like I was doing something morally fulfilling. I'm a sucker for games who like to test you morals, and this one was just a home-hitter. I could not bear to play it a second time to do the other endings, because they required killing the Little Sisters, and/or the critical NPCs. I love killing things as much as FPS players do, but when it comes to something like this, I felt like I just couldn't leave them or kill them. I loved the Protector Trials and the ADAM-Gathering sequences. So, I really just don't know why this game was rated the worst out of all of the three. I think I was willing to overlook some of the repetitive elements in this game simply for the option to return to the tragedy that was Rapture. The biggest problem I have with this review, although many of the points are valid, is the fact that subject delta is NOT a robot. Big daddies are created in a way very similar to the Handymen from Bioshock infinite, they are real men who are graphed into modified diving suits. The game even tries to provide a bit of details on who you were before you came to rapture and your tragic fate of being turned into the hulking nightmare you are now. While its narrative was not as strong as the first Bioshock, I enjoyed its commentary on communism and the idea of a group mentality, the same way Bioshock 1 focused on individualism, and I can say that this is more enjoyable than bioshock infinite's burial at sea (know I'll get hell for that), but I can understand how some like you felt that 2K had a need to innovate more than they did. Bioshock 2's fate and Subject Delta's fate seem to go hand in hand, loved by some, but hated by many more.

I don’t understand some people. They say that BioShock 2 is similar to the first one and then complain that there are differences. Sometimes they don’t like something for trying to be different, then they try to say something is bad for being similar? Listen, I like when video games try something new, but if it’s more like the original and still good I just don’t see the problem. BioShock 2 improved on gameplay. The hacking, combat, and camera works completely better. Also the story isn’t even how bad people make it out to be. When I first played the collection I was expecting to like BioShock a lot, hate BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite to be so amazing, but it went more like: BioShock:Great BioShock 2:Also Great BioShock Infinite:Decent

WeKanGame I think what I like most about Bioshock 2 is that, despite is taking place in Rapture again, they don't reuse any areas from the first game. This game could have so easily just cut costs and time by reusing an area or two but they don't. They're on the other side of Rapture. So the game gives you more of the city, which makes it convincingly big and real, because I never got the feeling after playing the first game that I had explored a whole city.

Bioshock 2 disappointed everyone? Come on Jirard, you have got to be kidding. It may not be as good as the original but its still a very enjoyable game nontheless. The sequel introduces new enemies and abilities. You have new weapons at your disposal. You to get play as a Big Daddy. You can wield a weapon while also using a Plasmid ability. The game is more challenging than its predecessor. Overall, Bioshock 2 received favorable reviews which means that its a decent game or a good game but not a great one. On top of that the game has 6 different endings which increases its replay value. I actually really liked Bioshock 2. A major gripe that I had with the game is that you as the player couldn't take too much damage, despite playing as a big Daddy, which doesn't make any sense. The campaign is a bit shorter than that of its predecessor. The multiplayer sucks, but then again, the game didn't need it to begin with. Sure, Bioshock 2 reuses some assets from the original but it doesn't take anything away from its fun factor. Visiting Rapture for a second time doesn't eliminate its sense of mystery just because I've already been there before. Bioshock 2 may not have been a perfect game but it sure was a fun one.

I agree with almost everything, but I think him being more fragile than other Big Daddy's fits. He was a prototype; basically a regular person given a few plasmids plasmids and put in a diving suit. He's not all that different from Jack after he put on the Big Daddy suit at the end of Bioshock.

well, at the time, it DID disappoint alot of people, they came in expecting the fucking "amazing storytelling" (even though systemshock 2 literally did the exact same thing but better) of the first one, and while the second did have it's fair share of problems, i do like how the story is quite straightforward in quality all the way through, instead of with 1 where it hit it's high at fontane is atlus twist (which again, it's predecessor systemshock already did) and then petered off into shitty right after. Honestly, besides the story, I can't think of anything else the first game did better than 2, I liked literally everything better than 1, I Honestly still can't believe there isn't a SINGLE video on youtube that talks about WHY infinite was over-hyped, why it's literally the weakest game in the series, and why It destroys everything that makes bioshock...... bioshock.

Eiad Tarabulsi I agree with everything you said, especially the part about reused assets not taking anything away from the game. If that were the case, then so many other great sequels should be considered bad. If, for the sake of argument, everyone agreed that a sequel was disappointing for being too similar to its predecessors, then games like God of War and Kingdom Hearts must also be disappointing because they also reuse locations, enemies, abilities, and story elements.

I may have felt that way about his Skyrim review, but this video felt like he was bashing it far harder than it deserved. I guess in his case, he "is forced" to complete the game six times, so I guess that sorta sucks. If he'd been allowed to go into the spoilers of the endings, he might have been able to point out how most of them aren't very different from each other too. I don't know, this review was actually really painful to watch, even if he made his case. I guess it's because I disagreed with 90% of the things he said, whereas in the case of Skyrim I could agree with most of what he said, despite loving the game myself.

Sorry about your taste. Bioshock 2 delivered best some of what the original failed at: making use of the underwater space for example, with some of the outside levels and flooding levels. It might not have had that memorable a story, but the gameplay was vastly improved with quicker hacking and dual wielding plasmids and weapons. Also minerva's den owned.

There should be a remaster of this, maybe one where you actually pay attention to the lore. Like dude delta and sigma are not fucking robots they're humans! They have motives and interesting backstory and you ignored all of that to complain about how it isn't as good as the first in your eyes. P.s delta would so tuck you in bed and read you a bed time story.

Bioshock 2 is actually my favorite game in the series. At least from a gameplay standpoint. Taking out the hacking minigame was a problem, but the ability to hack from afar was a definite improvement, the research mechanic was definitely improved. Being able to use Plasmids and guns in unison was a huuuuuge improvement. Also, Drill Charge. Narrative and level design goes to the first one though, for sure.

However, Bioshock 2 completely overhauled and improved over the first game in every way. But as you said, one thing it did that is disappointing is not bringing back U-Invents, it was fun to scavenge for materials and choose which ammo I wanted for my playstyle. Could have worked great with the gameplay of Bioshock 2, oh well. I also wish Bioshock 2 added more new plasmids, playing Bioshock 2 immediately after Bioshock, I was excited to see something new, but sadly the still fun plasmids of the first game were still basically all we had. They do compensate with the interesting upgrades that give them chargeable alt fires, from making enemies friends with a chargeable Hypnotize or shooting a stream of flame with chargeable Incinerate was good funm

Live reactions to this episode. But, why change a formula if it worked great? Bioshock 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. It fixed up Combat to make it run a lot more smoothly then 1 and the story was vastly different from the first. Bioshock one's story was incredibly linear, while every choice in 2 makes it possible to get a different ending. also Delta is rather relatable character, maybe not as much as Jack, however Delta is literally willing to destroy an entire utopia just to get his daughter back, also if you pay attention in game, you found out about who exactly Delta was before he became a Big Daddy along with Elainor becoming his daughter. The big thing about the story though that I think you missed Jiard, is the fact that the story isn't about Subject Delta, it's about your actions as Subject Delta to help your Daughter grow. Delta is dying so it's his final duty to make sure his Daughter is fully prepared for the world to come, because Rapture is dying and he wants Elainor to be free. FOR THE 3RD TIME BIG DADDYS AREN'T ROBOTS! Big Daddy's are people whom were brainwashed and tortured till they were slaves meant to protect the Little Sisters. Subject Delta plays like a Big Daddy, which he is. How is that a bad thing? Also I think that the weapons of Bioshock 2 are pretty easy to remember, the Electric 6 Barreled Sawed Off Shot Gun? The Drill? A Harpoon Gun? no of those are remember able? The thing with the plasmids is it not only fits the story better that so few new ones are made, but it also didn't need to be super beefed up, they were great the way they were. why fix something that isnt broken? also if you have the need to complain about Plasmids, Bioshock Infinite didn't change them at all, it literally changed the names of all of them and reskined a couple. Also Jiard you don't have to collect adam from the body's with the little sisters, you can immediately take them to the pipes and save them, but then you lose out on a crap ton of adam thus making the game harder. Also I actually enjoyed the Little Sister guarding mechanic, it really challenges you on the higher difficulties to figure out how to best set up and fight. again I play Bioshock 1 and 2, I personally enjoyed 2 a lot more than 1. Also this game isn't a game that you sit down and grind out 6 playthroughs of in a week, it completely destroys it.

GSmith624 2 sucked. The storys endings were only slightly different so its was about as nonlinear as the first one, combat in 1 was perfect, sure things like switching ammo was annoying, but that was the point or else it would be easy. The second game does nothing new, adds more tedious elements to the game, forgettable locations and characters, it all felt dull and done better in the first.

That twist wasn't even a twist and that game I couldn't even finish until I got Bioshock 2 cause I was so bored. If it wasn't for 2 I think many others wouldn't even have dealt with the first 1. Bioshock 1 is no dark souls 1 it has nothing going for it and is far from perfect. Only thing interesting is the stage your in and that's it. I like the scenarios Bioshock 2 has and the powers. You feel like a big daddy unlike the first one you just felt the same as before and you could easily take the suit off at the end. Only thing I truly liked was the ending to the first one and that's it.

Sora Kazama so you didn't like how when you character disguised himself as a big daddy, it didnt feel different. That's a terrible point. And the story in 1 was much better compared to 2 because the world seemed new and actually pretty creepy. The voice acting and characters in 1 were all well performed and memorable. 2 does everything 1 did half assed

For example, I didn't enjoy infinite as much as the first 2 games because it's mechanics were so different from the others. there were similar things like the plasmids and all, but there were only 8, there was nothing that played how Adam did, no real resource struggle like the first 2. Both games are great. And Bioshock 2 improved so much the 1st one lacked. Specially the combat mechanics make it so much better. Sure, the story is not as great as the first one. But it is still great in its individual concept. Also, you keep repeating that Delta isnt "relateable" and saying he is a "robot" which makes you sound like you literally skipped the whole plot of the game. Hu, didn't expect this one to appear in this theme, i find it less disapointing than infinite, probably due to, it's kinda like a by the books sequel, expands a little bit, improves all the cracks gameplaywise, and heck, the themes in this one is almost the same as infinite, fatherhood. While infinite, which i do like, kinda disapointed me gameplaywise, and storywise, after the ''awe'' it kinda has more cracks than streets in my country. Yes, bioshock 2 lacks a super cool twisty turning, philosophical-ish thing, but it's simple but in a pleasant way, you're a frankenstein monster looking for your daughter who becomes more than said monsters. It really is infinite without time shenanigans in my option, and with a nicer gameplay. Ps. Not seen the video yet, just stating my opinion about it! for i seen to be close to the first ones here! I typed the original statement before finishing the video but boy Jirard you have only yourself to blame for torturing yourself. You can just walk to the vent as soon as you get her. You don't have to gather every corpse. That's just what you do if you want the most Adam. As for weapon originality... Really the tesla Double Barrel, the Rivet Gun that lets you be Rosie from B1. Plasmids got a significant boost. Like being able to fire continuous streams at level 3. Bug Swarms can now be used as traps. Gene tonics are more balanced and more properly hidden through out the game. And the story wasn't the best but it was good. Delta's was told more through the audio logs and Sophia's constant rambling. Minerva's Den is also amazing and Bioshock 2 really improved on level design. I have to agree though that game goes on for far too long. Enemies get repetitive as the game goes on. But Gil Alexander. The source of Adam. Characterization of the Big daddies and Little Sisters. Marks story line. Really? Not a mention of any of that. If you really think all Minerva's Den is, is just two new weapons a few enemies and a plasmid then I don't think you understood what Minerva's was. To each their own I suppose. Enjoyed the video regardless.

I hate Bioshock 2 because of so many reasons 1The weapons are ALL shit 2The Circus of value only made the iconic Sound a few times and not every time like in 1 3My character was soooo slow 4I played on easy and had no ammunition the whole time and died 5The back Story from subject Delta was poor 6The new plasmids are shit 7Eleanor was annoying 8Lamb was not interesting enough 9The audio Logs are boring 10Rapture was boring to explore(only the Museum was memorable) 11The story was like Ubisoft, run from a to B to get to C but every time you stopped 12The ,,underwater,, passages are not so cool they could have been 13The big sister Fights and protecting the little sisters made no fun 14And the descisions and characters are boring. Good things look hacking and Soundtrack that was everything I hoped to see the end of Rapture, what happened after Bioshock 1 and which Effects this game had. But Nothing.

Johnny Topside was not a founder of Rapture. He found the city during a dive and they captured him to keep Rapture secret from the outside world.

hmm i have to say i enjoyed the game much more than you seem to have. from what i gather though, it may be because of our different views of what big daddys are. you seem to think of them as nothing but mindless robots, but that's not how i see them at all. they were human once and the way i see it, they are more than capable of human emotion. sure they may have been forcible brainwashed -- BRAINWASHED not PROGRAMMED -- to care about the little sister more than anything, but that doesn't mean they aren't actually genuinely caring about them. another reason i also don't think that they aren't capable of human feelings is the way delta acts. his genuine panic when he thinks elenor is in danger, the anger at dr lambs betrayal or the way he looks around or at himself when something surprises him. he clearly is capable of human emotions, they are just much more subtle because he can't voice them, but they are definitely there. however i can see how you can become less invested when you treat delta and the big daddies like nothing but mindless robots, but for me they clearly aren't and if you paid attention to they game i'm sure they wouldn't be for you either.

I think one of the things missed here is that Big Daddy's are actually human beings mangled and spliced into BECOMING Big Daddies, not just robots. When I played the game I enjoyed the idea immensely of subject Delta having once been a person and then transformed into someone with only one purpose: caring for their child. To me that was very compelling, and getting to explore more areas of Rapture? A cherry on top of a marvelous cake, but as usual, this is just an opinion. :)

I like it just as much as BS1, maybe not more. I liked the improvements and exploring more of my favorite city, Rapture. However, I liked Ryan better than Lamb. I was NEVER disappointed by BS2 and love it as much as BS1, just in different ways.

@@JAYDOG1337A lol ya that's the idea of playing as a big daddy even then theirs no excuse for them NOT to add a 4th difficulty setting if needed since everyone complains how easy it is I'm just more annoyed I cant buy everything and keep ALLLLL my camera recording skills getting really fun powers like active camouflage and fountain of youth at until the very END GAME what else is annoying too is I'd just love to start with what I earned without spending half the game earning them and another half recording enemies I WANT to feel truly overpowered as a big daddy and the games short enough as it is It annoys me so much that BS1 gets ALL the love and attention including a bonus museum AND a NG+ mode a mode that both BS1 AND BSI desperately need ESPECIALLY BS2 since it's short has a TON of powers and skills along with having enough upgrades to make your big daddy into MULTIPLE CLASSES AT ONCE it feels like a harshly missed opportunity with a game DESIGNED with a NG+ mode in mind More so now because besides minervas den and the trials they they didint exactly give this game much to work with since the other 2 games get way more bonus content...... Man we should get the company to update BS2 and BSI with a NG+ mode......

@@michaelbecket4901 Yeah I see your point, but at the same time, delta's only an alpha series big daddy, and those things are weak as hell for the most part And yeah, I hate how late we get Fountain of Youth, it's an awesome tonic, and given that it's rapture it's basically unlimited power

I really liked Bioshock 2. You've seen to have missed a lot of information in this game. Maybe because you rushed and were trying to get all 6 endings but I feel this review wasn't fair. Great video though, watched the whole thing.
