It feels so weird seeing a non spliced up human in Rapture. Also judging from this and the file name, it appears his death originally wasn’t going to involve becoming an Alpha Series?

I don't think so. In the same level I found an unused line from Eleanor regarding Sinclair being blown up along with the lifeboat.

He looks so calm, I need an explanation What if Sofia tied him up and told Delta about how Sinclair was the reason he got turned into a big daddy (like Stanley) and we were given the choice to kill him?

Each optionally killable character has different reasons for you to kill them, so I doubt that the developers would do the same thing twice. This could be originally be a scripted death scene of him, the way he looks calm is either him accepting his fate after what he’s done or he doesn’t really know what’s gonna happen. Another guess is that he was going to have some more screen time before becoming an Alpha Series and have you fight him. Imagine watching him getting turned into an Alpha Series, or at least hearing him get turned offscreen, that would make the fight even more disturbing.

@@MisterJohnDoe I think you DO hear him become an alpha series tho-there’s a part when you play as a little sister where they say “go capture Sinclair” over the intercom and then a few minutes later you hear the sound of drilling and him screaming

I have found in the files of Inner Persephone unused dialogue from Eleanor that may relate to this. "Mother will destroy the lifeboat, Father, and kill Sinclair in the blast! We have to go back there, now!" The sound file is called VO_GUL_S_BSis_SceneOnTV_03d.wa For those who don't understand the naming scheme of the file: VO is for voicelines, GUL is Gulag AKA Inner Persephone, the S is for a scene rather than a radio message or audio diary. The files seem to designate Eleanor as BSis which is consistent with what we know of early development when there was only one Big Sister and it was her. And the 'SceneOnTV' part seems to relate to this, as it was likely that dialogue was intended to trigger upon seeing this video.

yeah sinclair was awsome , i wish we woulnt had to kill him , anyway the storyline of bioshock 2 suck ass , i hate the fucking endings , minerva's den is actualy better and have a better storyline and ending
