kmidst_vg on handheld it’s a little weird but on controller it’s great. It gives you an advantage as well if you get good because it offers more accuracy almost like a mouse. It just takes getting used to but when I did it was hard to get used to regular shooters.

I own them both, and I have to say, both collections are surprisingly good. I wish some other devs or pubs would port their games to the switch. The Batman Arkham games (Asylum, and City respectively) would be my first choice. We ready have a good portion of the Resident Evil games, but Dead Space would be something to behold. Imagine getting to rummage through the USG Ishimura or the Sprawl but on a train ride, or a plane.

@@En4cer2K9 I myself have a ton of digital games but as inevitable as it is, considering nintendo's track record, they make the servers obsolete within a certain time period, resulting in not being able to re-download your games. While I know it'll take years for that to happen, I'd like the idea of being able to re-download my purchase beyond the system's life cycle. I hope considering the switches success, they follow sony's practice, where you're still able to re-download your digital games years ahead; like ps3 and vita games.

A nice thing when it comes for at least the Bioshock collection (not sure about borderlands) is that all the games are part of the cart, meaning, they didn't do one game in the cart and the rest are codes like Bayonetta, Resident Evil and other collections, so it will keep its resale value.

Ben Kizer How? All of these games released on last gen hardware. They really don’t compare to new games as far as porting is concerned. Sure, these ports are based on the remastered version, but remastered versions still aren’t as demanding as new releases. While we have seen the switch do some technically impressive things, that doesn’t mean that every game can come over to the switch.

I was stunned how good Bioshock looked! I compared it against my ps4 pro ( newly) enhanced version, and I have to say I am more than happy to start my play through again on the Switch. I know I can now play with a higher resolution and 60 fps, but 30fps never bothered me before for this game, and having it portable is mind blowing.

@@chadthelad1367 Not really. Although they discribe Bioshock series as FPS, I have always considered them more first person adventures. The shooting doesn't need lightening reflexes to pinpoint accuracy so 60 fps doesn't give a huge advantage. There is also no PvP, for which 60fps is essential.

MAN has it been fun, to revisit it after so soooo long. I've been LOVING it. Can't wait to play 2 and Infinite next (I never played either of those two before, so I'm looking forward to it!). You’re gonna love them bro (bioshock 2/infinite). Make sure you play the DLC for both! Many say the dlc for 2 was better than the main quest, and the dlc for Infinite brings everything back to Rapture. The only thing I hate about these games is that they aren’t making any more with Ken Levine 😩

Hey RGT, the gun sway in borderlands is deliberate.most starter guns at beginners levels all have bad stats. The higher level gun, the better the stats (less sway and better accuracy/damage)

What I think would be an interesting move is if a company fits a game onto the cartridge, so you don't have to download anything to play, but if you do so it'll have compressed textures/audio.... but on the other hand, they'll have an optional non-compress download on the eshop. That way people who care for higher quality visuals can make space on their SD card for the download, while people who don't care don't have to worry about buying expanded storage for their switch. Xenoblade Chronicles X thing something like this for load times. They made installing it onto your harddrive optional, so that people with the base WiiU didn't have to buy a USB-Drive.

I played about 5 hours of borderlands 2 and the first hour of bioshock. Borderlands 2 is ported extremely well. Bioshock is playing pretty well so far for me. I’m really glad these games turned out this good.

2022, i don't have the bioshock yet but i have the borderlands collection. i've completed borderlands 1 and 2 and will start playing the prequel next week when i have the time. the good thing about it is that they look great even on the lite. it also runs well and i never experienced glitches or bugs (maybe i didn't notice it, idk). it's a good port, most definitely. the only downside about it is that there are some missions that may need a group of friends to play with because playing it solo is just impossible. if you have friends that still play the game and you have nintendo online, then good for you. but i don't have any friends who still plays the game and i don't have nintendo online, so those missions are left out just like that. thank you, gearbox🙄. overall, it's an 8/10.

2k put a small portion of each of the games on the cart so that no matter what, new or used, the entire collection is there, even if it does require a download; Otherwise, getting a used copy would leave you having to purchase the others digitally in totality if the code was already used up. I actually prefer this as someone who buys used games often, but it does pose a problem in the eventual future when the switch eshop is down.

I bought Bioshock physical and had purchased handsome collection only to find out they had a physical of borderlands. So I double dipped and bought borderlands legendary. Now I have an extra code but I got the borderlands physical. And also I don't really care for borderlands. I will dedicate at least ten hours to borderlands one to see if it gets better before I play borderlands two. I don't plan. On playing pre sequel. But again wish I never bought borderlands. I actually thought they would be able to pull off 1080p or 900p in Bioshock Remaster since it basically run on toasters these days. My Ryzen 2500U laptop actually perform worse in PC games in comparison to optimized Switch ports. However, I can easily run Bioshock Remaster at 1080p60fps on the laptop, which made me think that 1080p30fps was within the scope of the Switch hardware. I understand that 60fps is out of the question due to the 3 core (available) 1GHz ARM processor. but 720p30fps with dynamic resolution scaling? To me it seems like they don't use the Switch hardware efficiently.

Just started playing bioshock 3. It's a great game but the one big problem is the camera keeps rotating down no matter how I adjust the camera's sensitivity a keeps doing this very annoying and distracting.

I'm kind of late for this chat but I just came from GameStop and purchased both Bioshock collection and Borderlands collection for $32 $15 each. I purchased the digital versions giving me all six games to download.

The switch version of Borderland may be using the PS4 textures and lighting system, but what gives away that it's the Switch version is that they removed the foliage from the games so it can run at a higher resolution while maintaining 30fps.

I bought the first borderlands for switch and wow, I haven’t really noticed any frame drops, considering it’s a 2009 game that might help but still it runs great.

Still waiting from my order from gamestop, for the BL legendary collection, and bioshock. It seems like its stuck in purgatory lol. On the other hand I've never played xcom 2 is it worth it for switch ?

So since they announced these collections and said that only part of the game is on the cartridge I figured that they are doing that so that when you sell the cartridge when someone else buys it they still have the chance to get all 3 games unlike every other switch collection

I'm downloading the original Bioshock right now. New to the series but I keep hearing it's a masterpiece. Can't wait! Unfortunately the combination of my crappy broadband and the Big Daddy file size means I'll have to So pleased these ports are good, cheers for the vid x

I preordered bioshock the collection for switch for €40, which i think is a good price for it. I havent recieved it yet, it has to come from UK, while I live in the Netherlands and beacuse of the whole Covid situation, the postal/delivery services are having some delays because of massive demands. Even with more delivery guys, some packages still get delayed. But i can't wait till i get it. I've played bioshock, bioshock 2 and bioshock Infinite multiple times. And recently i played bioshock 2's Minerva's Den DLC for the first time and was amazed how good it was. Ever since i had my switch i was hoping for a good story based shooter, like Bioshock, to come to Switch And now It's finally here.

30fps is to blame for the floaty controls in Borderlands imo That being said, I have been playing it nonstop on Switch since release day lol

I have these on PS4, but got them on Switch for handheld and wireless gamecube controller novelties. Worth it!
