I.... I can't explain how I feel. I just wanted to protect her and bring her to Paris, almost from the first moment I met her. I wanted her to be happy so badly, it literally pained me when Songbird took her away and they tortured her. And then in episode 2... I'm going to start crying again. Elizabeth is a wonderful character. These whole series are perfect, just perfect. They made all these deaths (from all Bioshocks) so sad, but meaningful and you really felt like you've accomplished something important. If I could describe this game in one word it would be: beautiful.

This is the perfect description of the relationship between Elizabeth and Booker, maybe it's also something we feel many to see it completed this beautiful story, despite being entirely fictional, love Elizabeth more than any other literary, cinematic or any another character in artistic medium. I suffered a lot more than I would have thought to suffer with his death, and always remember in my memories like that character in this artistic medium that changed my life forever. Goodbye beautiful Elizabeth, will live forever in our memories and in your paradise I know you're in Paris.

Possible ending: Jack, now elderly, is sitting on park bench watching his daughters (Little Sisters) and their spouses playing with their children on their annual family trip to Paris. As he watches them, Elizabeth suddenly appears and sits beside him. They share words about everything that has happened to him and the girls and she thanks him for bringing her body back to the surface and letting her rest in Paris. He tells her not to mention it, as it was Sally's idea; she insisted on repaying the woman who saved her all those years ago. Suddenly, she looks at Jack and takes his hand. He looks down, then back at her. "It's time, isn't it?" "Yes Jack. It's time. Time to go and rest." "What about them?" "They'll be fine. Because of you, they have rich, full lives. They can take of themselves from here." "You think so?" "I know so." "I...I don't know if I'm ready to go, Elizabeth." "I don't think anyone's ready. I know I wasn't. But I suppose it's just one of those things you have to accept. And besides, after everything you've been through, you've earned this." "I suppose you're right." "Come on. Let's take a walk." Elizabeth and Jack (now looking much younger) stand and walk away, holding hands and not looking back. Then, Sally looks over and sees Jack slumped over on the bench with a smile on his face and she realizes what's happened...

I just can't help to picture elizabeth holding sally one last time, singing this. Like right before her soul drifts away, she holds her dear, like the final moment of peace after all so much suffering and sacrifice, from collumbia, songbird, booker, rapture, realising her duty is finally done and smiling, knowing everything is going to be ok. I totally cried with this.

That's what I'm talking about, man. the best thing of Elizabeth inthis story is not because of she's just beautiful/cute. But more to how her character developed over times, when the first time we met her she was gullible, unadorned girl who would dance to a music at a public place, who would not even dare to hurt a bee. But the on the burial at sea episode 2 it was clear how every events on the bioshock infinite has forced her to change into, she appeared like a cold and vicious and badass Veronica Lake.

Burial At Sea literally took everything I loved about her and inflated it to levels I never thought possible. I can now safely say she's the best video game character I've experienced in a long time. Irrational did something beautiful with her development throughout the main game and the DLC combined. Just... Wow.

Upon hearing this song for the first time, I cried like never before in a videogame. The story of Bioshock infinite caught me incredibly, and his characters, Booker and Elizabeth are incredible, never forget. When I played with Elizabeth in the dlc, and she says in a scene from Columbia: I miss you. My heart was touched; Booker was everything to her ... it was his friend, his companion, his father ..... And now he's dead, and she has suffered enough, at the end of this dlc, also died without giving us a hopeful ending. Cried a lot for it, so I lived with them throughout this great game. This song describes very clearly, her relationship with booker, and that makes me mourn. I hope that in some heavenly paris or another dimension ... they are together.

For me the song somehow represents the whole Bioshock: Infinite story...In the beginning you only hear Elizabeth sing. Then she is accompanied by a guitar (Booker)...they have their part of the journey with the dream of going to Paris together (violins and guitar). At the point where Booker dies there's also no guitar in the background anymore, just violins (representing Elizabeth alone in Paris). The last part "You belong to me" is without any accompaniment showing Elizabeth alone in Rapture before her death....Damn that makes me cry everytime...

Of course she lives on :) At the end of Bioshock 1 DLC she is not wearing the necklace.... But in the last scene of part 2 she is. She is a very strong being. Remember that we met her mother(albeit a version Elizabeth accidentally scrambled from the brute force of her powers(despite them being totally bound by chains, even then). She went to many different places. Who is to say it is the first time she was injured? I have come to peace with believing she lives on, as herself even, but I can't stomach having to watch them torture her... in the end she saved everyone though. I'm just upset that she died(yes, died, but she could see the doors again, I believe she is indeed somewhere else now) after such an awful ending chapter for her life. She had to kill her father(her best friend. Only friend) to save all those people from the terrors that would come from him living, even if he was not evil, his existence allowed infinitely more doors to remain open and pouring death onto their respective lands. She is a true hero, who thought nothing of herself. Still brokenhearted about this. Like losing my daughters again. Heartbreaking ending, but after thinking long, and hurting hard, I've come to terms with it, and realized all is well. She knew what would happen already, she did everything just the way it had to be done. She was not stupid. She was a genius, and saved everyone. *sniff* redundant I guess, but I got upset after I pulled the scab back off this slow-healing wound.
@togan4918 жыл бұрын
forsety2 i know she did what had to be done... its just soo sad during both bioshock infinite and bioshock infinite burial at sea they get you attached to these charecters and they make you care about them. During the whole campainge you believe no matter how many times you die how many hours you pour into this game Booket Dewitt and Anna/Elizabeth Dewitt will finaly get together and will live the rest of their lives together. But thats NOT the ending we get Booker Dewitt gets killed by Elizabeth and Elizabeth gets killed by Atlas i know because of the multiverse theory technically they did get there happy ending but the game never gives us satisfaction of seing that ending.
