It would easily be repetitive. I can see this working on a 2D game, or a game with more linear gameplay. But you had to design an unique Big Daddy for every level.

Something that always fascinated me when I was a child was the preview pics for bioshock, I had the game of course but if you didn't realize a lot of them are of beta areas and/or enemies like the double drill bouncer

My favorite Big Daddy is the lancer. After Bioshock Infinite and tears I think they could of included the monsters as an alternate timeline where Suchong had more time to experiment, maybe even collaborate with Fink as it would have gone well with some of the things you see in his lab in Burial At Sea Episode 2. Maybe I’m just used to horror games like Resident Evil franchise and the Dead Space franchise but I would have loved to fight these creatures

I’m honestly not sure whether it was a good idea to remove the super unique looking enemies, because I can’t remember a single splicer or enemy from any of the Bioshock games, only the Big Daddies.

I actually can remember a few, but the only real notable splicers are the two that stand out the most: That priest/cop guy from the 1st for his lack of mutation, and the spider splicer from the 2nd for his obvious unsettling look

1:00 Until you see the rocket whale boss fight planned very early and scrapped in the game Yes, cybernetic whales in space protecting nuclear satellites in space was the original boss fight, you could bypass it completely by hacking the satellites to nuke the whale or by saving them to dump them all into the ocean, rapture or any nation of your choosing You could nuke the world But was cut due to budget, the world not moving fast enough because you know... it’ll be a giant disco ball spinning with colors and they’d pr baby be forced to add a seizure warning to the game if they added it Follow it up a bit later and they were re-used for the boats and fishing nets Atlas hijacked until it was also where workers came into and you know... the idea of Deus ex Whales going up to Boston to bring people down to rapture didn’t mix well with the secrecy of rapture that they wanted Then dead space asteroid section but with cyborg whales instead but he budget was thin and they didn’t want to engineer a new game mechanic system when they already had Atlas in the works and risk making it a broken mess via that one segment’s non-existent game mechanics Edit: the cyborg whales were suicide bomb cyborg whales you had a turret section to defend rapture fun but the segment was by itself and the story didn’t have anything to call for such a reaction by Atlas, the satellite whale boss fight was for the Regan satellite for his ‘star wars’ project and had a whale jumping over the moon as a painting on the side of it, a homage to ET go home but with a whale in space instead of a friendly alien So yeah whales were planned a lot throughout the game Speech 68: Lie

LIFTEDIT1 Basically bait ‘hello fellow fans’ Who arrive for pats on the back and smack stuff to bite into it and not read until end for the skill check joke Also because people buy the ‘free of morality’ idea and think ‘anything’ goes in the game lore and because of many other reasons outside of the game’s lore and more about development and so on as what the game seemed to spike interest in games following its release and the constant let down, the objectivism fan base has kinda been lead on form Bioshock to Bioshock 2 which they enjoyed, then new Vegas which was later a let down because of ether obsidian breaking endings to the games and options that was so common even the new Vegas 2009 official guide thought it was intended (and House’s personality fits in perfectly) but was removed later in a update and House’s character became less consistent to them then going to Crysis 2 and the interest since then has pretty much died and went stale, even infinite didn’t spike any of their interest and so far the 2008-2013 small fan group died off in activity to a point where they haven’t been around or active in comments on some videos for nearly half a decade, some even were interested in Crysis 3 but that was around time they were falling back to sleep on video games That’s a sub-set of fans that persisted and basically died off after a while Also for bait: usually on games you catch at least a few fake fans buying comments like these and any form of laughing at them drives them insane and usually off a franchise

In bioshock there are 3 superpower like cagetgories. In bioshock there are plasmids, vigors, and genes or gene tonics or just tonics. But if these enemies were put into the game, there would've been a 4th, 5th, and 6th superpower category. The 4th category was over powering, that's why they took it out and It was supposed to be made from the mutants and used for combat. These would've been called mutes. They were these syringes found throughout rapture. Plasmids and vigors genetically mutated your body, but mutes were supposed to physically mutate the body. To give the user the powers and abilities of these creatures, eve hypo was also supposed to regenerate mutes like plasmids. You could shape shift your hands, feet, and other body parts into different monstrosities. If you play the game touched by an outer god from the dread x collection 2, that's what it was supposed to be like, but doesn't change your voice or appearance or related to the resident evil viruses. There were these machines called stem labs where you could buy more mutes or upgrade and customize ones you already pocessed. Then there was the 5th superpower category. There was supposed to be more robots and cyborg like enemies in the earlier version of the game. Kind of like the handyman from infinite but either fully or partially machine. These were gonna be powerful enemies so they added a combat mechanism called an extractor. It was this metallic circle with wires that would come out of it located on the users left and right arm wrists. Jack apparently found this odd machine that you could stick your arm into that gave it to him in a painful way. It could hack machines, robots, even could genetically brainwash non robotic enemies. Tubes were the superpowers and ammunition for this mechanism that when switched over to, the wires would retreat into the extractor and shoot out wearing the colored tubes at the end of each wire. Each tube allowed you to do different things like, hypnotize an enemy, turn someone into a horrifying mutant, or upgrade the usage of technician for weapons, hacking, enemies, and machines, also it could allow u to extract Adam, eve or eve hypo, and powers from an enemy. If you watch gameplay of atomic heart, you can the protagonist has a metal band on his left arm. That's what it was supposed to look like but without the band attached to it. Lastly was the 6th superpower, well kind of. What gave the idea of the handyman from infinite was the earlier ideas of bioshock. The 6th category was the use of robotic and cybortic parts called handiments. For example, there were these hands of the handyman that would give the user massive strength such as to break through walls, ceilings, door, gates, and floors. U could also use them to break, destroy, or lift massive and strong objects. They would appear as small metallic gloves but could unfold into large massive metallic hands. The only handiments that we know about was the hands, shoulder turrets, and other handiments that would go with the hands such as the swinging saw blades and firearms that could be attached to the hands. Also in bioshock infinite vigors were supposed to be purchased from these vending machines called vigor bars where u could upgrade and customize them too and the gardens where you purchase plasmids was supposed to be called plasmid gardens, in the earlier version you were also allowed to mix and combine plasmids, vigors, tubes, and mutes. For example, it was possible to use electricity and combine it with incendiary. Also instead of there just being 1 hand seen, It was supposed to show both hands of the protagonist, to which plasmids, vigors, and genes could be of use in both hands, except for when you used a fire arm or other weapons.

Something you missed at the beginning was a concept art for a cut level back when the Adam gatherers were still slugs. The art was for a "Garden" level where these slugs are grown. Would of acted similarly to the Botanic Garden level in a sense and you could tell by how similar they look.

Probably would work like Burial At Sea 1 endgame boss. You can't get too close or Big Daddy would beat you. You can't get too far or he would use projectiles that hurt you or pull you. It is a game of "hide behind corners and spam Lightning."
