That’s amazing that you shared that with us when you didn’t have to, there is so much stigma around mental disorders especially bipolar disorder, and I’m so glad you’re sharing and doing what you must to not just cope but thrive. My wife is bipolar and I get so irritated when everyone assumes that means you’re a psycho or uses the term to describe mood swings, and there’s so much more to it. She left her home state and moved across the country to Cali while in a manic episode, and that lead to us meeting so she doesn’t regret it, and it turned out to be one of the best things she’s done. She was diagnosed a long time ago but brushed it off off because she was ashamed and didn’t want to accept the stereotypes around it, but once she did and got treatment for it, she’s grown and accomplished so much. Anyways sorry for the novel, I’ll stop because I can go on forever, the point is you’re inspiring and I’m so glad you had one of the best experiences of your life even if something not so great was going on. I can’t wait to see what you learned, and get your advice being that I’ve started traveling out of the country a lot, and Costa Rica is definitely on my list!
