I gave this one a go and it didn’t turn out half bad! I found it funny that you used French Aquamarine cuz I had gotten a little tube a couple of years ago and forgotten about about it until you mentioned you used it on this one and I gotta tell ya, it gave my sky and water a look that I really liked so thanks for the nudge Bram! LOL I also tried both ways for the base of the trees and whereas the knife was a bit trickier at first, it gave a much better base than the filbert in my opinion. As far as the white part, I think I used too big of a roll of paint. It broke but not as much as it could have. Maybe there’s a “mountain roll” and a “birch tree(smaller) roll?? LOL Anyway, THANK YOU for the time you take to make these videos and great instructions Bram! Whenever someone expresses a desire to learn this technique I always point them to you sir! 🙏😃

Are the canvases generally covered in liquid white to start? And what is liquid white exactly? Does it have thinner in it? Thanks.

When I use my knife, big gobs of paint stick to the canvas, and when that doesn't happen, the mountain color sticks to the roll of paint on my knife so I can't keep using that paint on the knife without muddying up the color of the highlight.
