It's a super fun pattern! As long as you remember to make sure your raglan stitches line up after you're done the short rows you're good to go!

You can do it! Just make sure you double check your raglan stitches all line up after you're done the short rows.

Great idea to knit the ribbing inside out. I have the same issue with it not looking so neat on the outside but a lot better on the inside. Can you maybe recommend a video of the technique you used?

I literally just used one German Short row before I was about to start the ribbing to flip it inside out. Let me find you a good video on GSRs!

I'm sure this is very simple, but I'm having a hard time envisioning how this works. After casting on and joining in the round, do you knit one whole round in all knit stitches and do a GSR double stitch at the end to turn your work and then start the ribbing? Or do you do all your ribbing and the do a GSR double stitch to turn before you begin your plain knitting ? Thank you!

@@sharons5723 In that situation the second one! Do the German short row before you start your plain knitting! If you were already knitting and about to start ribbing (say on a sleeve cuff) you’d do the gsr right before you start the ribbing. I’m planning to record a short next time I have some ribbing ready to go on a garment, so hopefully that will help as well ☺️

I thought I'm the only one that does the ribbing inside out :) no matter how hard I tried, I cannot make the front ribbing as nice as the inside :)

Great episode! Would you consider doing a demo of how you do the rib inside out? I've done that with top down socks but for some reason I'm having trouble picturing how to do it in a top down garment! Also, would that method work for tubular cast on? 🤔

Oh yes! I could totally do a short on that 🥰 On a top down garment you’d do all your knitting normally, then do a short row right before you started the body and flip the ribbing inside out at the same time. As for the tubular cast on…. I don’t think so. Because then the inside of your cast on would become the outside if that makes sense?

@@birchandlily Hmm thanks! Looking forward to the short! Tubular cast on does look the same on both sides, so I think that part should be fine just wasn't sure about how a short row would affect it.
