Excellent video… thank you! When you added thinner to the paint… what exactly was it?

Nice video. I have a hard time with these paints drying so fast on my palette and brushes! I have to work so fast and that does not always work out well for me.

I think you can get paint extenders to extend the drying time for these. It has been awhile since I used them :)

Hello Michelle.. I paint on ceramic plates but I always find it difficult to draw on them with ordinary pencil as it is hardly visible. So I used a glass marking pencil but it leaves marks when erased. Can you please tell what type of pencil do you use on porcelian. Thanks

Misty Rose Hi Misty, I didn’t draw pencil lines on the tiles, I sketched it out on paper first and used that as my guide beside the tiles for my reference as I added the paint.. :)

Thanks for replying Michelle, actually I am talking in general. Since you work on porcelain so I thought that you might have faced the issue of drawing on it with pencil:)

Hi Michelle; i love your coasters, are the porcelaine paints heat proof and if not do you coat them?
@MichelleGrantDesigns7 жыл бұрын
Maureen Mccloud yes they are. They are baked in the oven to set. You could also use a resin over the top if you wanted to seal them more. I have been using them for over 12 months with no sign of wearing off (unsealed)

I am using these paints on ceramic coasters. I know we can just put it in the oven, but can we also add a sealant? Would Mod Podge, clear acrylic sprays, or Envirotex help with making the items waterproof and scratch resistant if added after the items are removed from the oven? Or would the paint have a bad reaction with these products?

I am not a fan of mod podge products, mine have lasted well with daily use without anything over them. If you were going to put something other them I would probably use some type of clear resin, or you could try a clear acrylic spray :)
