I never got the impression that Allison was "bitchy" at all. What makes you think that?
@mastermarkus53078 жыл бұрын
boomzilla86 The stuff with Phelous doesn't feel like genuine annoyance to me, nor does she come off as dominant as you're making her sound. She does seem bored with some of the Let's Plays, like TLC, but I never got the impression it had to do with Phelan. I also don't know why she'd be "fake" with Movie Nights - it's not like anyone is forcing her into saying something she doesn't want to. I don't know her, so I'm not throwing total doubt on your observations, I just haven't noticed such things. I tried to find anything about her leaving Channel Awesome, but I think she deleted her tumblr post about it because I've only been able to find vague second-hand information. I don't know or care much about Spoony, but it sounds like a few people, including Allison were being dicks to him for some reason? Apparently Phelous and Mike J were involved? I never got the impression that any of them would go after someone for no reason.
@boomzilla868 жыл бұрын
she mentioned how right before she started movie nights that she was just going thru the motions doing OLP and that she wasnt happy doing it. not saying that shes not happy doing movie nights, but its obviously actual work to her, and just like how youre fake polite at work even tho nobody is forcing you to be there, shes fake smiley on movie nights cuz its her job to be personable on screen. like i said, if youve seen her genuine laugh and smile from all the footage of her then you can see how often she has this fake smile on movie nights. like when someone smiles to get their picture taken, its not that theyre unhappy and forcing themselves to smile, but they are just doing it for the sake of appearances. if you go to phelous.com and go to "news" i believe the link is still up to both of their stories about leaving channel awesome.

Kiritalya No, but it was so unfunny I wish I didn't look back... I'm a strong, independent woman, I can take a lot of shit but it's always a little thing like that that make my defense drops, because when the day is over, when I think I overcame all the obstacles in my way, there always someone, somewhere, to remind me that life's sucks and all is in vain... ... I'm totally joking by the way! But it's true that sometimes some people seem to try their best to say "look, I suck and I want to lower the rest of humanity to my level!" Most of the time they do so by being pricks but mostly it's by being annoying and unfunny to the point of inflicting pain by their cringe inducing humor... 😁

OK, so at 5:00 after Phelan says it takes 4 min 49 secs for the protagonist to enter the restaurant I went and watched the opening scene of Saturday Night Fever. This takes 3 min and 45 sec from fade in to the NYC establishing shot to Travolta entering the paint store. The film packs a lot into that time firmly establishing the location and main character while also setting the tone for the film. Just a guy walking (ok, strutting) down the street carrying a tin of paint and interacting with people and stores along the way. Very simple and economical use of image, sound and actors. Birdemic 2 could have just ripped this off shot for shot and it would have been a massive improvement even with the limits of their budget.

I'm sorry but Brad's dancing like Crispin Glover in the Friday the 13th review trumps this dance scene. Don't hate the player. ;)

I love that everyone in Nguyen's films is the greatest at "thing". Best salesman, best model, best salesman, best computer programmer, best salesman, best director, best clone tech researcher, best cloned salesman...

Meanwhile, Nguyen himself can't even competently blur out a phone number! Seriously James, I can still read that!

I have no idea why, but I thought it was hilarious how short Brad is compared to Phelan xD
@RisingBeast0010 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, Brad is surprisingly short compared to others. I say that because everything I see his episodes he doesn't appear that short at all.
@SpeedyEric19 жыл бұрын
RisingVictor Yeah, I was also surprised to see how short he was to anyone else when I first watched Kickassia. He briefly mentioned in his Lonely Lady review that he's 5' 7''.
@RisingBeast009 жыл бұрын
But....I'M 5.7 also O.O That's not that short. That's the minimum of average height.

I love how James ngwen DARES to try and promote an environmental message in these movies when he didn't even realize that the bird species he has attacking and killing everyone not only don't live in the areas the movies are set in, BUT DON'T EVEN EXIST IN THE NUMBERS DEPICTED!!!!! THEYRE ENDANGERED AND THIS SUPPOSED "ENVIRONMENTALIST" DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THAT

Dude, I have that same TMNT shirt! 😀 The fact that your parody of the movie you did in the beginning is infinitely better than the actual movie should make these people feel ashamed of themselves.

Lizzie Sloan It's not: it's a consonance. Used a lot in songs and poetry. It has no business being in that movie since the tone of he scene was serious... Aw fuck it it's bad like everything else in this movie!

dude you guys' reviews should come with a "do not eat while watching" warning because the laughter that ensues makes all food a choking hazard.

Radagast Yup, Ed Wood reincarnated into James Nguyen... Also I saw a lot of bad movies were the actors were clearly smiling while pretending to be scared, the first movie I can think of is that cheap dumbfest called Robot Monster when the Roman picks the woman up to bring her to his cave. Glorious! 😁

37:02 Is it just me, or does the guy on the stage look and move like he's a video game character? The lighting is so weird and his movements are so stuff, he doesn't seem real. Although everyone in that scene moves like weirdly rendered video game characters.
