I was using a monopod. Not as steady as a tripod, but better than nothing.

Hi! Got some questions, hope u can answer them. With this camera is it possible to adjust brightness end white balance when filming? The video of the Goldfinch lokks way to saturated for my liking. And i see the camera keeps focussing in and out of perfect sharpness. Can u manually focus while videoing?

Please excuse my limited knowledge of this type of camera and not using proper terms. This camera has two ways to activate video mode. You can activate by pushing the record button in the current mode (P, S, A, M) or you can activate video mode on the dial. For example, if you press the record button while in P mode, you can not adjust exposure or manual focus. Now if you are in the video mode on the dial, you can adjust exposure and manual focus. But......you use the same dial wheel to make the adjustments. If you are set to manual mode, the dial adjusts focus. If you are in auto focus mode, the dial adjusts exposure. Now for the color......the camera has settings to adjust vividness, contrast, saturation in 5 levels. I like colors to pop, others may not like that. I guess it is personal preference. I will admit, the autofocus is not that great in video mode. Also, focus is limited when zoomed in tight on close objects in any mode. In other words, if I have a bird at 20 feet away, I can not zoom in tight on the eye and have the camera focus. The lens does have limitations.

I’ve never ever used a camera like this in my life only phones. I got this today and kind of got the hang of it even manual focus. But this camera DOES NOT FOCUS WELL when I zoom in close to things????? My iPhone literally can zoom in closer and stay focused. Again I used the scrol wheel thingy to manually focus and it don’t go far enough down on the graphs wtf??? And auto focus yeah again it don’t work because it can’t go enough down

If you are trying to focus on close objects while zoomed, the camera has a limit on how close a subject can be.
