very nice wildlife... thanks for sharing. i just upgraded from B700 (had it for 4 years and very pleased with it) to the P950. I adventure travel a lot with a focus on finding wildlife along the way so very excited to see what the 950 can capture for me.. have always just relied on standard Auto Focus point and shoot but slowly learning the more technical side of things. its fun and rewarding capturing a great wildlife photo .

Some beautiful shots there. You've apparently been spending a lot of time afield in order to get all of those. Great video. Looking forward to more like this to come.

I really like the photo stuff. I even spent time in my tree stand last week, no muzzleloader, no bow, just the camera. Had a doe come behind me in some thick stuff. I didn't get a picture of it. There's just something different about photography. It's just enjoyable.....Been doing some pheasant hunting. Not having a whole lot of luck.

I love the animal photos for lighting and color and positioning, but most are a bit to soft for my liking. I have 3 brands of cameras Canon, Fuji, and Sony. Now my almost favorite is the Sony RX10 IV. It like the Nikon is a point and shoot super zoom and it does not have the same zoom as the Nikon P950 (it only has a 24-600 but each and every shot is just as sharp as any of my full frame or APC-C cameras and lenses. Maybe your shots were all or mostly hand held and if so put that suka on a tripod. If it was already on a tripod maybe turn of the IS and see how that does with the photos. I was thinking of getting this Nikon for animal shots and not ones that are in flight or moving a lot but these are just to soft for my liking.

A few months ago, I purchased an not so expensive cannon powershot, it has a very good zoom and picture quality, It's fun taking pictures of wildlife and i like macro photos as well. All your photos are great, i like the egret one, and mallards are beautiful. Great editing as well. I can't wait for winter.

I've really become obsessed with taking wildlife photos. I find it very relaxing, but similar to hunting. I've got some birds/animals on my bucket list, I want to get photos of.

Another question, I have watched a lot of videos on photography, a lot of folks use editing software like photoshop...do you? I feel a picture in it's natural state is a picture, but one that is changed, well to me, it's not natural any more.
@Windwalker_Outdoors3 жыл бұрын
The camera itself has adjustments for how vivid the picture will be before you even take it. I do have a program called Lightzone that I can enhance or crop photos. I often dont do anything to them. I guess each photographer has their own taste. Some like black and white others like color affects. Some photos need lightened or darkened a bit. I understand what you mean, but if you ever see a photo that you like, there's a good chance it was enhanced.

Can tell from these shots that you are a very good photographer. I bet you can do as well with any superzoom camera. Can I verify that you were using tripod or monopod for some of the shots?

Great photos, I just got this camera a couple of months and still learning, always seem to have trouble with birds in flight being blurry. Was thinking of getting the dot sight to help with this, as I believe it helps keep them in focus, have you used one before?? Keep up the good work with the site, definitely going to subscribe to keep following
@Windwalker_Outdoors3 жыл бұрын
I never tried one of those sights. I believe they are to help you find the bird quicker instead of looking for it in the viewfinder. I have had trouble with flying birds also. It seems the camera doesn't focus quick enough. I've tried several times, but the photos are always out of focus.
@anonymous-wp1pd3 жыл бұрын
Please use continuous focus. It'll help you to focus flying birds.

Question, I just got my 2nd camera, a canon eos 7ti. I have been watching a lot of photography video's, most i can understand when they talk about ISO, shutter speed, aperature, do you mostly shoot on Auto, or M,P,A?
@Windwalker_Outdoors3 жыл бұрын
I mostly shoot in P. I have it set to shoot colors more vividly in that mode. I am still learning about it. I have tried the other modes but find that I have trouble adjusting things on the fly when a bird presents itself for a shot.
@Windwalker_Outdoors3 жыл бұрын
I've played around with the Shutter speed but making the shutter faster to prevent blur, makes things darker, so I leave it in auto. For the ISO, I can set parameters for it. I've heard the lower the better for less graininess. I'm no expert and really dont know much. I just try to do the best at figuring it out. I miss so many good shots I should have had.

Buenas fotos. Muchas se nota que no están enfocadas. Será falla del lente o de la cámara?
