But with Volcarona providing light, it'd help remedy this theory My only question is *when* did Volcarona provide that to the humans and Pokémon species? Did that entry say "2,000 years ago"? 🤔

Some of the islands of the Lental Region match up perfectly, or nearly, with Super Mystery Dungeon's Sea of Wonders. It's mostly in shape. The ice island matches up perfectly (not in location or orientation though) and there's both a volcano in the north and a Xerneas tree, though the one in Super Mystery Dungeon is much, much bigger. No offense, but you’re getting the Rayquaza lore wrong. Basically, two things are needed to Mega Evolve : a Mega Stone and a strong bond with the trainer. It is explained in ORAS that Rayquaza has equivalents for both of those things, an organ that is able to convert the meteors he swallows (filled with a lot energy) into Mega Evolution energy and the the prayers that were addressed to Rayquaza. That’s also why when YOU Mega Evolve Rayquaza, it says that it reacts to your wishes.

They gave the Yggdrasil Pokémon their own Royal Knights. - One of them is an armour evolution like Magnamon. - One of them is two acting as one like Omnimon. (Two Digi-Cores, and they can become their illumina forms separately.) - One is a fusion of other Mon becoming one like Examon. (One Digimon Core, they must be fused to become their illumina form.) - One of them was fully evolved version of first starter of the third season of Pokémon, equivalent to Gallantmon. (That just leaves Milotic, who I guess does kinda look like Crusadermon with those ribbons?) Also, Professor Mirror has goggles in his design... - I feel like Bandai wouldn't let both Yggdrasil and goggles sneak past without them noticing.

In one of these episodes, they help a boy in area that's become a waste land. They want to find jirachi in order to revitalize the land and the end of the episode is quite surprising and I feel it supports your theory a bit.

I love this concept of the 1,000 year meteor shower. It would explain so much. I can't remember if it was a theory, interview, or what, but I heard a while ago that the creators were originally going to explain where Pokemon came from, and that the original concept was that real-world animals were still around. (Think the days of the first season of the anime - back in the 90s) They later decided to quit referencing real-world animals and didn't talk about the origins of Pokemon, beyond stuff like Mew and Arceus. I wonder if the meteor shower was intended to be the origin of Pokemon life. It could also explain the vastly different species in different regions. Different species come on the meteor shower each time, so each region has whatever happened to land there or what has migrated since.

When I first saw the Lental Region Map the first thing that came to mind was that it could jolly well be a Hoenn had Team Aqua succeeded. The resulting islands roughly match the positions they would have in regular Hoenn, bar the desert now on the left of the volcano. Florio Island roughly corresponds to Littleroot, Founja Jungle to Petalburg Woods, Elsewhere Forest to Meteor Falls. Maricopia would be the deep waters near Pacifidlog, while Durice would represent Shoal Cave. Aurus is then the stand in for Sootopolis Not much regions have both an active volcano and a desert, in extremely close proximity.

This just makes me think we really need a Legends: Rayquaza game. Toby you might wanna do a video on what that could look like. Imagine it taking place either 1,000 or 2,000 years ago, right before one of the foretold meteor showers, and you ARE actually a young Draconid living at what would eventually become Meteor Falls, maybe a precursor to Fallarbor Town? Maybe instead of your typical Grass/Fire/Water starters, we get choices between Swablu, Bagon, or Trapinch. All three are Hoenn native Pokemon that eventually evolve into powerful final stage Dragon types, and 2/3 have a Mega Evolution, and I imagine a Legends: Rayquaza would explore the lore and origins behind Mega Evolution a ton. Maybe Flygon would even be given a Mega Evolution by this game. Of course, I think using the theme of imported starters from other regions would be fine too, but for the setting of actually being a Draconid, it would be fitting to have Dragon-type starters. Also, alternate title if we're going with mythicals as a theme would be Legends: Jirachi, I think they could easily spin the lore of the Draconids to involve Jirachi, and deeps in the caves of Meteor Falls seems like an appropriate resting place for a Jirachi.

It would be interesting if this implied that, based on what was in this video if I interpreted it correctly, perhaps Deoxys and AZ's Eternal Flower Floette are Illumina Pokémon. Also, perhaps they made a wish on a special meteorite like the one found in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald known as the white rock. This being the rock that when you bring a wish tag to it, you get the chance to catch Jirachi. What I mean to say is that Jirachi may have been the meteorite used to wish for Rayquaza's help. Jirachi granted the wish, transferring the wish and energy to Rayquaza, who had eaten other meteoroids, allowing it to Mega Evolve. Lastly, that orb that Xerneas turns into looks an awful lot like a large Mega Stone.

Now that I think about it, Jirachi and Deoxys share some alarming similarities - namely, that their heads generally have three points, or that the most important part of their biology is located on their torsos. For Jirachi, that's its third eye, and for Deoxys, that would be the crystal core. Adding on to that, Jirachi's yellow ribbons look like auroras. Some additional thoughts: A significant portion of many meteorites is metal, which could explain Jirachi's steel typing. If Jirachi and Deoxys were created in the same instance of comets being struck by AZ's ultimate weapon, then Jirachi would have been the first to fall, and would have taken most of the iron and other precious metals with it (or them), and therefore there wouldn't be much metal left for Deoxys, which could have contributed to its crystalline core and far more malleable body structure. Between Jirachi's shiny and normal forms, the colors that change are teal and pinkish red, which are Deoxys's colors. If the yellow of Jirachi can be considered the most metallic portion of the mythical sleepy bean, then the pink and teal are more organic, or at least, less metallic. When further considering the color palettes of Deoxys and Jirachi, the sheer yellowness of a shiny Deoxys makes me wonder, therefore, if that particular Deoxys has a thin veneer of precious metals (such as gold) over its skin, just like Jirachi, but not enough to gain the steel typing. Have fun chewing on this! :D

Did you forget the move wish maker where Darachi isn't in the inlands? Darachi is watching over a completely different desert like region. This Darachi hibernates for a (was it a coupled hundred or a couple thousand years?) long time. Wakes up for seven days to absorb the comets energy witch is why it woke up in the first place. Makes a friend and then returned to hibernation at the end of the seven days giving it's energy to the land until the next appearance of the cement many years latter! Technically it shouldn't show up in snap at all with this preestablished lore. However, I could belive that it's another Darachi. A Darachi unice to this reagion. After all they never say that legendaries are singular pokemon. They are just so rarely sighted that it's belived to be only one. In a few cases I would say there are only one like with Arcaus, Palkia, Garatina, Dialga. Those are the only ones that I believe are a single individuals off the top of my head as an almost garintie. I personally think that xerius and yeveltal also only exist as a single individual. Then again their are those games where Archus just give you a new Palkia, Garatina, or Dialga so there is that to be said too. Maybe their are more legendary individuals then we realize. After all they are hardly known and rarely spotted even from a distance let alone encountered personally meaning we don't know a lot about them as a whole. There could even be areas were they are incredibly common and the other Pokémon are rare.

It just means that the Pokemon most affected by the meteor became the Illumina Pokemon. No confusion in the writing there.

My real question is why is the meganium so big? As I was playing through I noticed that none of the other illumina pokemon seemed to be any larger than what their pokedex entries have them recorded at. Meganium appears to be at least three or four times the size it normally would be as it completely dwarfs his little friend pokemon (I don't want to put too many spoilers in case someone hasn't played the game yet). When I first saw it, I assumed that all of the illumina pokemon were going to be giant versions of regular pokemon as a call back to those couple of episodes of the anime with the giant ancient gengar, jigglypuff, and claydol. Ooh, maybe meganium a few thousand years ago was that big but interactions with humans led smaller meganium to thrive while the larger ones died out?

Watching this now in 2023, got me thinking... 2000 years ago a meteor fell on the Lental region. Also 2000 years ago was the first mention of the Great Crater of Paldea. Maybe there's a connection there?

Toby the other way for Deoxys to come about is through meteor impacts. Not all of them are through lasers!

When they were more effected by the meteorite for a clear reason... They exist, They're naturally glowing unlike the pokemon that we use on.

How do we get mew to spawn? I've completed the whole story and I get in front of the 2 morlul on the night jungle level and mew doesn't spawn. Am I missing something in the main story? All of my levels are at least a 2.
