He's paralyzed and probably has PTSD which makes him affected emotionally and physically. He probably thinks his wife is better off without him, but realizes that if she continues to contact him, then maybe she'll still love him. With encouragement, he finds it out. Gets you right in the heart. Gets me everytime. :(

Not just wounded pride, but also lack of confidence, and the feelings of being "half" a man. Just about anyone (including myself, and recently) in a wheelchair or walker etc has these feelings to a greater or lesser amount.
@BelleDede01
@BelleDede01 3 жыл бұрын
It's not wounded pride ... its about a man who feels less of a man as he's paralyzed .. it's about a man who thinks his wife should move on and have a better life than stuck with a cripple man .. emotionally and physically. With confidence and encouragement, he finds out that he is loved no matter what.

One of, if not the best set of trilogies. I still remember where I was when I first saw each video. "Tell Me I Was Dreaming" is the 1st video I ever watched that completely broke me. I was devastated at how it ended and I bawled my eyes out. I still cry a little bit every time I watch it. Watching your reaction, I was transported back to how I felt when I first watched it.

My sister and I used to watch CMT a lot back in the '90s, and we would have to change the channel every single time "Tell Me I Was Dreaming" would come on. Could NOT watch it. It still tears me up, but now, as an adult, I can appreciate the amazing story, and very emotional ride.

Birdman, you and I are exactly alike when it comes to music. I feel every word, every sound, and all the emotions in the deepest depths of my heart and soul. God and music is my DNA. Music speaks for me when my mouth can”t form the words. When I am a old woman, lost in the deepest recesses of my brain from Alzheimer’s, music will be the one thing that can pull me back, even if only for a moment ❤❤❤
