I just finished my unboxing video for the copper Natrix. Literally just finished about an hour ago. I will be posting mine tomorrow. My example was pretty good. The detent is strong and the centering was pretty good. I was surprised by how coarse the stonewash on the handle was. Actually the over all finish is pretty subdued. I like it pretty well so far.

The one beef I have with this knife is actually the pocket clip. The action is dependent on the pocket clip being installed, and my dad, who I bought it for, hates pocket clips and carries all his knives like a traditional inside the pocket. If you take the clip off (even if you put the screws back in) the knife won't fully deploy.

I got mine in the mail today! Loving it so far! Maybe I'm just lucky for once, but mine was sharper than all hell.The sharpest Kershaw I've ever had. I put a drop or 2 of oil on the pivot, and it's smooth as hell too. Ya, it goes nicely with my copper Olight, you hit that one on the head. And btw, for anyone interested, they also have both the Dividend and Link in M390 back in stock as well.

This morning, mine arrived. I expected it to be tiny, so small looked almost large. I received the in stock notice, ordered one and noted they sold out within a few minutes. So far, my only negative are the lock retention screws under the pocket clip. They interfere with withdrawal from my jeans 5th pocket. It is fine with other pockets. This knife is an instant classic and looks weathered some, which adds to the charm. I needed a magnifying glass to read the very tiny “China” on the blade. The edge was very slightly uneven, but not bad.

Search for how to "shipwreck" the copper... Looks AWESOME (like it's been sitting on the bottom of the sea for centuries), and it's super easy to do.

I have both the 7006CU and the 7007CU. I wanted copper, and I LOVE the way they look, and at first I thought they worked well, but I've found that they both often get stuck when trying to flip! Sometimes the blade is so well stuck that it's hard to drag out with the other hand! Other times it seems to flip better, but it's still a problem! Maybe I am pressing on the frame lock?

I got my first one yesterday, second one is coming on Monday. First impressions: good centering; strong detent; strong lock-bar tension prevents drop shutty; moderately sharp; cool back spacer shape & contrast with copper; two-stage closer - so I may need to add a detent ball ramp. Now I'm googling terms like "accelerate patina" LOL

Pre ordered mine back in January and got it in last week. The jimping on the flipper tab is sharp as heck. If I forget to take my finger off the lock bar and try to open it it damn near cuts my finger open. Other than that I'm really enjoying it.

Just got Mine today too, It was waiting for Me after I got Home from work, and it came with a Bird picture too !!! as well as with a deck of BladeHQ Kershaw cards ! I gave it a little disassemble and nano-oil spa treatment, and it is skeletonized inside.. and I have a task for you all... figure out what the second hold in the blade if for.. it has another hole right next to the pivot hole, and on one side it has either a number 1 or a lowercase l (L), which made Me go 'Hmmmm?' as well. Its been a 7-8 month wait, but well worth it. All and all, I love it though.. and I love the bird pic too !

I ordered mine back in Feb. Finally received it late last week. Love the size, the blade on mine in ground evenly and shaving sharp. My only complaint is pretty severe detent rock. If I shake it near my ear while closed i can actually hear and feel it. (micro shake weight) lol

Got mine a few days ago. Looks great. Pretty stiff detent on mine. Stocking up on the copper/brass. OLight, Natrix, etc. If it starts to patina like the OLight, wow! I was surprised at the size myself.

I bought 2. Both were NOT sharp. Not even close. And the sharpening that was done was horrendous. The action is phenomenal. To me this was the perfect knife for Kershaw to make in America and make it a showpiece. I understand them wanting to keep the price down but it turned an absolute Gem(thanks Shabazz) into a piece that needs some TLC before it’s really even useable(at least the two I got ). Also, I needed to extend to sharpening choil before I could give it the KME treatment.

Actually tried a natrix (non copper)in the store and I have to say I’m pretty impressed. I would definitely consider but I would have to find one in person because I would need even fullers. OCD issues

I bought 3 of these from 3 different suppliers and they all were a pain to deploy. I love the Natrix design and all others I have open like butter. I sent one back to Kershaw cause it was impossible to deploy without breaking your finger. Haven't gotten it back yet, so we'll see!!

I got.mine today and its eating my index finger fpr breakfast. Im loosing skin fast. Its got a detent from hell with sharp jimping. I had to throw a diff bigger pocket clip on it so i had something to grip whike flipping so i didnt hols the lockbar. Its small so with the small clip i was holding lockbar and it was even harder to flip. All in all its ok. My edge sucked too. Missed opportunity ahoukda been usa model.

Yes, the copper ones are harder especially the xl, but they can be done. The g-10 medium size is the easiest. -Frankie

First time I saw a Natrix I knew it looked like some kind of animal...my first instinct was a Baleen Whale...turns out its exact like a knife version of a Baleen Whale...try to unseen that lol. How has the copper aged since you got it? Maybe a quickie video showing the patina? Along with the Olight?

Mine arrived today. The edge is not good. I have a KME. I can sharpen it up. Not a huge deal, but I shouldn't need to sharpen a new knife. the bigger issue is that it has detent rock. That was more disappointing. I can fix the edge. I can't fix the detent rock. Considering returning it.

@@BirdShotIV The reason that I am considering returning it is that I had a ZT 0452 that showed no signs of detent rock initially. It developed as the knife broke in. It got to the point that it would rattle when closed. I sent it in for to be fixed. When it came back, the detent rock was gone. After a day or so breaking it in again, it was back. If it has rock now, what is going to happen as it breaks in? Sorry to be so long winded, just wanted to elaborate.

I love my copper natrix but the extra deep carry clip mixed with the slippery copper makes this a bad knife for the Vaseline factory. Other than that I love everything about it

Love mine! I did have the same not so sharp out of the box like yours. Slapped her on the KME and she took a great edge no prob. You can spydie flick it real easy, just hold low on the fuller. Jimping is pretty sharp on the flipper tab. I took it down with some sandpaper and that helped alot.

I usually don't care about Chinese made but I have had zero luck with Chinese kershaws (0 out of 4 over the last year and a half). JT's knife life did a vid on why these took so long to release, trouble protecting this type of copper from corrosion on the way from China.

Got mine a couple of days ago. Little disappointed. Out of the box it was dull and couldn't even cut printer paper. The detent was extremely stiff that it was difficult to deploy the blade. The frame lock was also stiff that it was difficult to close the knife. The grind was extremly uneven. Took for ever to reprofile. The action was also gritty. I had to take it apart and clean the ball bearings plus a little lube to smooth up the action. I'm willing to bet if it was made in the USA it wouldn't have these problems. But oh well. It was only 60 bucks I guess.

Great knife especially for the size and price but wrong handle material in my opinion, too heavy for its size. They should of went with G-10.

i got mine yesterday and the action was gritty so i took it apart and whoever assembled the knife tightened the pivot so hard that it left ball bearing indentations in the steel washers :(
