Superb - Birelli - always stretching the boundaries in his technique and phrasing. Thanks! M

Amazing - a fair amount of Tal Farlow influence in his solo - but he's definitely got his own thing going. Rhythmically, this is nothing short of a marvel.

fuck me... Bireli is KING on guitar, the fact that he never makes the top 100 guitarist list in any rankings i have seen is a abomination of ignorance. Anyone on this thread trying to over analyze his playing as not "tasteful" and full of "licks" need to heavily question their brain function and understanding of music and talent in general. Or they simply are jealous because this guy destroys the best of the best, even George Benson himself has to be learning something from each of these displays of brilliance.

people rip on kenny G because they think it's cool - kenny g got his start by playing with black artists like Barry White and in funk and fusion bands. The fact that he went commercial and is the most popular instrumentalist in the world is just business.

5.20-5.24. Is it a known lick or just a lick Bireli invented and uses very often in his improvisations?
@MrJairCarvalho3 жыл бұрын
its very used on jazz...its major triads used chromatic...he do it on his own rhytm but the idea its to use on dominant chords to have some tension

Bireli uses too many chops and no real feel or dynamics. Sounds like a zillion other jazz guitarists. No style. Try bending a note or two once in a while and using the bridge pick up every so often. You have a long way to go.
