@@vanessavillegasxo I believe the darkness in the sole also doesn't come from moistness but from the cork and silicone molding together to fit your individual shapes so the sole does actually change. This happens thanks to the warmth of your feet.

Get the suede I find it ages betters the other one if it gets scratched you can see it’s and the suede if it scratches kind of blends in. Hope that helps 😊

You need to apply some cork sealer to the exposed part of your black sandals, which will increase the water resistance and prolong their life. The soles can easily be replace by a shoe repair store which again will keep them usable for more years to come, I have a pair that are 12 years old and going strong. The shoe can literally be rebuilt from the ground up if needed. Also, the foot bed does change across some platforms as all the style do not use the same foot bed and the ones you own ( which use the classic foot bed ). Some of the foot beds are less aggressive because many customers did not care for the aggressive support of the classic foot bed and also it allowed Birkenstock to make a wider variety or shoes/sandals that they hoped would appeal to a wider variety of consumers. Personally, I prefer the classic foot bed and everything I currently own has that platform ( Arizona, Boston, London, Tokio ESD ).

I tried on a pair of Birkenstocks. They were pretty uncomfortable not going to lie but I know they get more comfortable over time, but I tried on for size and the men's size nine fit too tight for me with wise but the length was perfect. But the 10 was too big for me lengthwise but the width was better. What would you recommend? And did you have this similar problem with yours? Great video by the way!

I want to believe these won't hurt my feet. I have a tendency to get blisters around my arch to the top of my foot in must sandals and sneakers even hurt the top of my foot. Will these hurt me?

Its hard to say, specially if you are prone to getting blisters. its all about trial and error but are you willing to pay that much for them? i find them so comfortable so maybe not.

They do have two different foot beds. They have the classic foot bed which is their first one and they also have the soft foot bed which is basically a layer of foam under the leather foot bed. It’s squishier and soooo comfortable. If you don’t have a pair you should get one with the soft foot bed. Your feet will thank you even more. Great review. Thank you!

I have six pairs. 2 Arizona, 1 Boston and surprisingly enough, 2 pairs of ankle moccasin type boots in suede and leather as well as a very sporty pair of white soled casual shoes. I found these amazing assortments of Birkenstock while on Holiday in Germany. It’s best to try them on before you buy because the different types fit and size varies. For example, I can wear from a size 38 regular to a 40 narrow depending on the style. I must also note that if you buy them in Germany they’ll be only half the price if not less. I raided the clearance rack and made off with 4 pairs!

I love the Arizona style, I also have them in black and I have the soft foot bed with suede straps and a EVA pair that I wear to the beach. My suede ones were the most expensive but they are BY FAR my favorite with almost no break in. They have all I’ve been wearing through this pandemic.. it’s the perfect time to break in my new pair around the house 😉 Nice review

Yes they do. I get a size 37 usually and got a 36 which is a 5-5.5 and they fit good.

Try to avoid getting your Birkenstock’s wet. If you do this, they will last a lot longer & the cork will remain in it’s store bought state. My hubby wears his rubber sandals (i.e. Crocs, Teva, or Reef or Flip-flops) for the times that he is around water and his feet will get wet. Birks are not meant for getting wet & are not cheap, so it makes sense to wear them in dry conditions. However, you can pick-up a second pair of rubber sandals/flip-flops for-less than half the price of the Birkenstock’s, and throw a pair of flip-flops in your beach bag and switch them out when your at the beach.

Hey Definetly go down a size, both of the ones i own are one size smaller, and cause of the leather they give that i had to buckle it up to the smallest.i usually wear a size 6 too (size 37) get a 36 you'll thank me later. let me know how you go.

When the sizes get smaller that’s what they are so for sure go down a size. As I say in the video it’s a lot easier to try them on In store. Although I understand the situation we are all in right now. And if you order them online check if you can return one etc. I hope that helps

Birkenstocks were high tech many years ago. Nowadays any sandal factory can produce it cheaply and as good as the original. It is not like the latest running shoes which has considerable design to make running more efficient. It is just a cork latex footbed shaped like a foot. German manufacturing has declined in quality. Used to make the most durable cars, now their cars are full of issues. China can make fake Birks which are better than the originals at 1/3 the price.

I had a pair long ago but I binned them after a year because I felt like I was putting my clean feet into dirty sandals. The suede footbed is the worst for accumulating dirt and sweat and they look horrible once the sole has a black shiny footprint. I prefer a smooth leather insole
