There are several studies that show that pre-ejaculatory fluid does contain sperm and that this sperm can be motile and capable of achieving conception. The newest data is that 7 days of active pills are enough to protect a women from pregnancy. The classic teaching is to wait a cycle before having unprotected sex. the latest data does agree with 7 days of active pills being safe.

I think you can assume you are not pregnant now based on what you have explained. If your period comes you can have even more assurance.

Your risk of pregnancy is incredibly low. It is probably worth doing a pregnancy test in 2 weeks just for your own peace of mind. The morning after pill could be used but is probably overkill as you should have been protected from the 10 days of pills. I would be shocked if you got pregnant from what you are describing.

Hi my name is Laura I have had marina coil fitted for 17 months and it's not worked at first I was getting thick brown stuff for 2week and off for 15 day then i would come back on my periods and now I'm have a proper perido with clot and a little pain my gyno doctor what me to go on the mini pill but i dont know what to do . Should I have the coil out and just go with the pil or have both
