Birthday Flight that Nearly Wasn't

I started my Paramotor training on my birthday, 6th May 2011 and I try and aim to have a birthday flight on the 6th of May every year. Although some years the weather doesn't come right and this year we're in lockdown. So the closest I can get to flying on my birthday this year is going through some old video archives from 6th May and I found this one.
It was a hot evening, with low wind. The plan was to have a nice evening flight with Phil, but I spent more time on the ground failing launches! I did eventually get up which is better than nothing and more than were getting this may in lockdown!
Anyway, hope we can go flying again soon, I'm probably going to be one of many paramotor pilots that are going to kick the ass out of the sky when we can fly again!

Happy belated birthday andy. At least you got up eventually. Did you figure out why the engine was playing up ?

Thanks Harry. I think this was related to the thing that caused my engine to go at the PMC summer flyin, Mark Morgan replaced a load of different parts and fixed it, so I wouldn’t know what the cause was. I have an atom 80 bulldog now, just can’t wait to fly again.

I’m sorry Gunter, I have limited permission from my field for my self and another couple of flying buddies. I can have a guest, but they require insurance and it would have to be when my other flying buddy is not with me, which is relatively rare. Happy to meet up once lockdown is over and have a chat, it would be good to find somewhere we can all fly from.
