Birthday tribute to Jeff Beck-"Cause We Ended As Lovers"-produced by George Abrehart

June 24th would have been Jeff Beck’s 80th birthday. To honour and celebrate the world’s greatest guitarist, myself and some amazing musicians have put together our own version of ‘Cause We’ve Ended as Lovers’. This was a very special project to put together and wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the many involved, so thank you to Jennifer Batten, Dudley Ross and Greg Koch for recording guitars, Alex Bennett for recording keys, and Grace Lamb for recording bass, as well as Charlotte Noakes for editing the video. When I was a boy in rural upstate NY, I had cassettes of Blow by Blow and Wired, my first guitar, and the biggest admiration for Jeff... 20 years later I'm no longer a boy, no longer live in New York, no longer have a cassette player, or that original red squire strat. But the admiration for that man's talent has never left. The word "great" is tossed around daily but that guy was a "great" that exists only a handful of times in the history of music. Happy birthday, Jeff. My finger calluses would not be the same without you.

Incredible tribute to Jeff Beck from these wonderful musicians. So soulful and emotional. There is no end to the amazing sounds that a guitar can produce. I can still hear in my head that amazing solo that Jeff did on Shapes of Things all those years ago. A "once in a lifetime" guitar player.

After being a fan since my teenage years, I finally got to see JB for the first time in 1999 during the Who Else Tour, you were a member of his band as I recall. This has always been my favorite track by Jeff Beck. The club band I was in during the late 70's used to play this song live and our guitarist always killed it. I love this version that you put together!

I've had a crush on Jennifer for along time lol hahahaha and fell in love with her musical ability. Then she's playing with Jeff Beck and that's it. The greatest musical collaboration in history. I so sorry to hear of your friends death and my favorite guitar players. You were so blessed to have worked with him. Tokyo 1999 is my favorite place to be and see n listen. Be well dear Jennifer and bon appetit. Eat organic and try to not eat flesh. It takes its toll on the body n will make you look old. All love and respect and I'm seriously impressed with this tribute to Jeff. I restoring a Les Paul standard with the most beautiful flame top. I've just replaced the neck by making one. Now I get to inlay the finger board n I'm not sure what to do with that. I'm thinking of putting White Trash on it in green marbleized plastic. Be well Jennifer and thank you for the greatest music

Beautiful version , thank you to all involved… Jeff is my all time favorite and I was fortunate to see him perform 3 times and met him with a photo one of those times,once with Jennifer Batten and it was easy to see why he would choose for the tour, she was a show by herself and a huge inspiration for female players.. Hi Jennifer. My introduction to you was a show in 2000 (my first of many JB concerts). The set opened with you powering into and through Hammerhead. I was gobsmacked. This was the first concert where I sat the entire show on the edge of my seat with my jaw on the floor. One of my favorite nights ever. Thanks for being a part of it and thank you for this video.

Jennifer, I was at one of your clinics in Atlanta around 90 or 91. I didn't know that much about Jeff but you talked about how awesome he was and how big an influence he was on you so I went out and bought 'Blow by Blow' and was instantly hooked.
