I was 15 in 1975 when Jeff came out with this, rock music was everything to me, I love all of it, but Jeff manipulated the guitar like no other, making guitar sounds that are emotionally charged, almost 50 years ago and I still listen everyday.

... normally, this Track I can actually no longer hear because it has already been interpreted 10.000 times by all guitarists of this world more or less well - but Gary Clark Jr. - who I actually would not have associated with this piece at all - brings here a version that really goes down like delicate melting! And note also the super feelingful rhythm guitar of Eric Clapton - also a surprise, how he could find his way in here, his solo is also great! The special thing about this interpretation is, in my opinion, that no one has tried (or even is not able...🙂 to bring the wackiest arpeggios over the changes again, but just to go to the point with a lot of feeling and relaxed! This is wonderfully relaxed!

One of my fav JB incredible compositions ever ! Dedicated to his friend and incredible guitarist Roy Buchanan who I was look to have been lucky to have seen at the Lone Star Cafe… my fav JB show was at Palladium with Yan Hammer Band early 80s I believe. Top 20 show for me. Peace out

I also have to correct myself as I just looked it up … I was actually a senior in high school a few blocks away from the Paladium when I saw JB with Jan Hammer Group at NYC Paladium in 1976. I was off by about 4 years 😂

Yeah, he was also great on Roger Waters tour 10-12 years ago. There’s a video of them in Mexico City playing “Dogs”, etc. Phenomenal!
