This woman Budde is in a false denomination which infact is a schismatic sect. She has no supernatural or Divine Consecration, so infact is not a Bishop in GOD's Eyes. Saint Brigid is a cannonized Catholic Saint. So one is in opposition to the other. How then can a Catholic Bishop even consider comparing one to the other? Why isn't this Bishop trying to evangelise this Budde, and point out from a point of Catholic Doctrine where she is error with regard to her ideologies, and how they are not in accord with the Divine Will. 🙏

God has told us the Truth and His Will, which are shown through Sacred Scripture, Tradition, and what the Church has always taught. Jesus said to "Judge righteous judgment" (not optional). Those who do this by using the aforementioned means, gently remind others, though persuasively, would thus show that Budde is not a bishop, cannot be one, and her being in error is shown by not even citing Scripture that would support her views.

@maddyproctor1443 we are all loved equally by GOD, but we can't condone error. If we do we are guilty of the same error or sin also. It is our duty to use filial correction which is a mercy. To compare someone in grave error, misled and who thinks they are consecrated by GOD as His Bishop, when Catholic Doctrine teaches otherwise, then it is using opposing sides to justify error. As a Bishop who is supposed to uphold Catholic Doctrine he has crossed the line. He might as well compare Karl Marx, Budda or Mohammed to The Catholic saints in that case. After all GOD loves us all! I don't know the mind of GOD anymore than anyone that was born including The Saints, but I do know The Eternal Truth of Revelation in The Gospels. Not one of us can claim to have the qualities and Supernatural Graces to be a saint. We don't even come close at our best. How much less should a Bishop of The Catholic Church compare a mere unconsecrated human in a schismatic sect to, to any Saint who is Supernaturally sanctified, and in the presence of The Beatic Vision of The Most Holy Trinity.

St Brigid is my patron Saint so I am outraged at the comparison. Ms Routers is not charitable and certainly not like St Brigid. She is in favor of euthanasia for elderly and murdering babies. The PP of killeagh, East Cork told the parishioners at mass on Jan 25 th 2025, that This bishop Budds is a wonderful example of Christian courage and a most admirable woman of God. He sang her praises on the altar of God for the entire homily of manifest heresy. He said if only we here at Mass had an ounce of the courage or integrity of this bishop 😱. My bad for thinking that he should know that a woman cannot be a bishop. A heretic fraud would have been the correct term for him to have used for her. Pro abortion activist received millions of tax payers money for her dubious projects. Following the homily he sat it out at holy communion and allowed several lay ministers to administer holy communion while he sat smiling on his chair and ‘ Supervised’. I never felt more justified in standing up and walking out while begging pardon from our lord and stating aloud that this was heresy. I wrote a letter to the bishop but was advised by a source that I trust that I would be wasting a postage stamp because my letter would end up in the shredder. May God have mercy on us all and save us from the fires of hell 🔥🙏

I wonder if someone, much cleverer than me, were to put together all the 4 Gospels and work out how many days it was that he spoke and prayed and acted it would be all put together? Not even a year would it I surmise. His ministry was over 3 years so that's a lot of preaching, discussion, miracles etc that is not covered. Whether we believe in Maria Valtorta's visions or not he obviously spoke a lot more than what's in the Gospels. He definitely would have had something to say about same sex relationships and abortion etc. We have cone so far away from moral teaching, as Fr Ripperger says "sin makes you stupid". We have become so dumb and wantonly sinful we are deluded. You are touching on some very difficult topics here, I admire your courage. At the end of the day you can talk about the liberal "lovie dovie" left, and on the other side, the dogma of the church etc etc. It is hard to win. Yes - we need lots of love on one side - on the other you need a certain "dogma" and rules to live by. But at the end of the day, like the Bishops here, I would fall on the side of compassion, of support for others who are "in trouble" in danger. I am no liberal, I am no conservative - that approach, is a dangerous trap. Like many, like most people, no one REALLY believes in or wants abortion - but what do you do if a child is raped? Have we not had enough of this outrage in this country? Like many people, I do not understand, or want to be confronted with, all the trans-gender issues, or want to deal with all this confusion of identity - but it's out there! What do we do? Do like Trump, shut it all down? How? There are no easy answers - it is easy to be frustrated, to be angry, easy to judge.............. A lot of our problems are man made alas, extremes "left" or extreme "right" only create a reaction. The bishop knows this fully well, but has chosen to put his personal politics ahead of his priestly obligation to defend the faith. The Bishop of Washington spoke out well in her sermon. Robert, we all have to remember that God's way of thinking is not the same as humankind's way of thinking. God's ways are different from our own. Life is rather complex and there are many throughout the world who do not know God - yet. Yes, Truth is often not popular - that God came to save the whole of humankind - whether we are happy with that or not. We must remember that God's spirit is always at work - let us all pray for wisdom and discernment as we run the risk of stifling the Holy Spirit. God's blessing on the Bishop of Washington, a bishop ready to follow in the footsteps of the Son of God. Blessed be God forever!

This kind of gossiping about other people is unbecoming at best and more likely sinful. I am pro-life 100%, but from what I heard of Budde's speech, it was not at all inappropriate. Whether she is pro-life or pro-choice in her leanings is pretty much irrelevant, since she had already been chosen to lead the service, and they were already there in the church--the National Cathedral (of which she is the pastor). So any criticism of her abortion views should have happened in advance, not pulling that out as an excuse to dismiss everything she said. I notice that some pro-lifers these days weaponize the abortion issue like this at every opportunity. It shows they don't really care about the unborn at all, because anyone with any sense can see it just turns people off and makes no one more likely to listen to what you have to say on abortion.
