Beautiful letter. My heart burns to hear the words of wisdom from a good shepherd. I can testify to the importance of taking refuge in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in this turbulent time of moral crisis within our Church. I had a profound conversion experience 16 years ago on my pilgrimage in Medjugorje where God intervened through our Blessed Mother to save my marriage. It would have been impossible otherwise having led a life of promiscuity. I had a vision of the two Hearts overlapping each other with the birth name initial right after my conversion- I know your name in your mother's womb. They served as a refuge for sinners and I was one of the worst brought back to life like a prodigal son. The world is passing but Christ remains especially in the Eucharist being the main source that transformed my hardened heart and sustained my conversion. Viva Cristo Rey and Ave Maria.

Dear Bishop Strickland’s letter made me weep to see that it is most important to spend time with Jesus’ Heart in the Holy Eucharist. Until this happened I really didn’t pay attention to Bishop Strickland. I don’t live where he was Bishop. But now, because this happened, we get a bonus we get to hear him on your channel and we get to hear him and we never heard him before. We weren’t his flock, but now we are because he goes all over the place on the Internet. I’m so happy he’s bringing us closer to the Lord what a good man.

Bishop Strickland would be a good successor for Cardinal Cupich. If you compare the number of ordinations in Tyler, TX, predominantly protestant, to Chicago, he did a good job. And if you see churches built in Tyler versus closed in Chicago, we need someone with his zeal. He can also get along with traditionalists, in stead if antagonizing them. He is the man for the job.
