Hello Bishop Williamson...this is Russell Montminy. I just want you to know Carolyn and I miss not seeing and talking to you any more. In the sort time that we did it was very much appreciated and to say it didn't last long enough. We cannot attend Mass any more. I am 90, disabled and Carolyn 85. We play a Latin Mass DVD every Sunday and Holyday, take our Missals and pray the Mass as if we were in Church. That's the best we can do. Please remember us in your prayers. God bless you and your work.

Most music today just comes down to pure evil. The beat drags these kids in. It's powerful. Just the way Satan wants it. Start with the young. As a professional drummer I can attest to the drug and alcohol scene as well. Were living in a society that has accepted everything amoral. Rap wasn't always so vulgar, so in your face. Rock and roll didn't start out that way either. Well, the Devil isn't turning back now, lol. Super Bowl half time show? Demonic. 9 years clean and sober. Out of the music business. Great little girl who tries to pull this music in my house and I shut it down. Lol. Music, the dancing, the clothes,the language. Don't be lazy parents. Shut it down. And find out what the kids are listening to. You need to know what your talking about. Lol. God Bless you all. This is a good KZbin site.

I have to say, after previously spending years and years listening to all subgenres of metal music from black metal to grindcore, some of the things they come up with in lyrics for modern popular music makes these bands look like poets. Sure, the music itself appeals to base urges (in most cases), but at least the lyrical content isn't simply "muh dik, muh munny" in popular music.

@AnnInFL5 жыл бұрын
The Vikings were the Norsemen of ancient Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, and Finland). They worshipped their pagan Norse "gods" before they were converted to Christianity. They were fierce warriors known for being cruel and barbaric toward enemies. The bishop asserts that loss of Christianity in the West (modern secular atheism, or neo-paganism) is leading us to a worse, more savage and barbaric culture than even the culture of the ancient Vikings, who although famous for their barbarism, at least preserved some common sense rational thinking.

@TheVetusMores5 жыл бұрын
There's been, for at least three decades, a series of classical music CDs (from "Baby Einstein"?) meant to be played for babies and infants. Indeed, as you pointed out, such quality music can be not only therapeutic, but brain-building as well. This has been proven again and again through various independent studies. What passes for "music" today is a rather extreme dumbing-down of true music, which brings with it elements of the demonic, if not in so many cases the overt demonic. One cannot read the lyrics to nearly any modern "song" and fail to see the evil contained therein. I understand that Ariana Grande is quite popular with the young set (she first came to my attention after the bombing of her concert in London); the lyrics to almost any of her "songs" are positively pornographic. Dumbed-down music leads to dumbed-down minds. Classical music (and Gregorian chant, which is _very_ complex, and requires lots of discipline and practice to master), on the other hand, _elevates_ the mind and heart to almighty God and sharpens one's intelligence.
