I liked the sax. George had a great voice, so good in fact, he was considered as a replacement for Freddie Mercury after his death. He did the song "Somebody To Love" at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. (and killed it)

(George's duo before he went solo) Wake me up Before you Go-Go, I'm your Man, Last Christmas (which you've likely heard but did not realize it was George), Freedom, Club Tropicana and for sure, Everything She Wants. You'll dance, you'll sing along and you'll laugh. When you're ready to get more serious, listen to A Different Corner then move into the Faith years, starting with Faith. Then you've got Father Figure, One More Try, I Want your Sex and, my favorite, Kissing a Fool. After this, George turns a corner, casts aside his rock star image and gets real with himself and his fans. At this stage, America turned their back on him for the most part, but screw 'em. His artistry continued to rise and his music matured along with his voice and lyrics. More songs to delight yourself with: Freedom 90, Cowboys and Angels, Heal the Pain, Waiting for the Day, Jesus to a Child, Fast Love, Spinning the Wheel, Move On, Star People, You Have been Loved. That takes you through his first three albums. Maybe in between try on some of his duets with some amazing artists: Knew You Were Waiting For Me (with Aretha Franklin), Don't Let the Sun go Down on Me (with Sir Elton John), If I Told You That (with Whitney Houston), As (with Mary J. Blige and Heal the Pain (with Paul McCartney). Okay, you can take your helmet off, I'm done (for now). Great reactions, you're helping to get me through some long, dark nights.

Your mom has good taste. The first time a lot of us heard George Michael was Wham's "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go". He did quite well as a solo artist afterwards. Personally, "Father Figure" is my favourite, but it creeped some people out over the years.
