Omg. I would have a breakdown if I walked in and saw my husband and my machine where you left off😂 I have to say, your “really dirty” is my really clean. I’m super impressed by your housekeeping. Thanks for this video. Couldn't get it apart. Didn't know about those two screws in the front. Mine wouldn't spray water. Turns out one of the hoses was pinched. Was able to get the hose straightened out and it works again. These are great carpet cleaners. Glad I didn't have to buy a new one. Cheers!

I got my 1887 bissell in 2017 and because of diligent cleaning after every use and changing belts annually it works perfect. I've always wondered how to get to the motor though to clean it out. So you showed me some things I didn't know thank you and the only problem I have with my carpet cleaner is that the tab that the latch catches on on the tank is always breaks and I have to buy a new tank lid all the time.

Got one of these for free due to my neighbors saying it didn't work. I took the tank out and it had hair clogging the little filter, cleaned it out and has worked like a charm! I'm wondering if you got yours back together? Lol

I did. It worked for about another year. The motor eventually gave up. I replaced it with the hoover smartwash

Definitely easier ways to get rid of smells usually smells are in tubs where water as you have demonstrated may sit for sometimes. but the best part of this video is that you took it apart making less scary for someone like myself to attempt should I need too. What was the first piece you removed? I'm unable to budge the screws to remove the floor nozzle window. So here I am, frustrated as hell.

Use a impact driver on low speed. Or s large screwdriver. To torque the screw out

Have you considered getting a Proheat 2x Revolution? I resembles an upright, has dual brush rolls and is an absolute beast! Also very easy to take apart and clean without tools.

Tearing the whole thing apart is way more than i want to do every time i use it. Since this thing is supposed to be used to clean up pet messes it should have more streamlined way to clean it. PS did he ever get it back together?

My screws are that rusted they just crumble lol. I'm going have to get new screws and drill the old ones out

The thing is to small. I bought a much bigger one. Its like over a foot long. I lose stuff constantly. If its small and I use it a lot. I buy multiple. Tv remotes, screwdrivers, flashlights, scissors and more.

I took apart the water tank to clean and put it back together and now I can’t get it to sit flush against the machine. It will barely suck due to the vacuum seal not being there AND it won’t spray. I never touched the machine itself. Any ideas?

Make sure the red gasket at the bottom of the tank didn't fall off.

I'm currently attempting to replace the motor in this specific unit. Did you run into any trouble reattaching the seal on the side of the motor for the "exhaust" tube? It's driving me nuts.
