Hey I just wanted to say that I emjoyed watching how easy you make everything seem. But I wanted to say that YOU probably could have made the whole kit if you wanted to. I look forward to hearing what you do with this little modular set up !! Thanks for posting. This would be a good way for a novice to get started on modular synthesis. I am still really sick with with pneumonia and it’s given me a different perspective and I decided as soon as I’m well I’m going to start selling most of my gear. I need to clean out my life. So who knows Kale in the future after I have scaled down my life enough for a downsized move that I wil be making in the coming years i May take up making modular kits. At least they don’t seem to take up as much room as my large big old synths !!

I’ve though about building my own Eurorack case several times. The construction isn’t difficult but it needs to be super precision. If you’re 1mm off, the modules won’t fit, so the tolerances are super small. That said, I may attempt it someday. I totally sympathize with the gear liquidation syndrome. I got rid of so much gear when we moved 7 years ago. Now we’re getting ready to move again and I’m looking at how much I’ve acquired since.

They're fun to put together. I have a Skiffy 42 and a Skiffy 442. It's also fun to think of what combination of modules I can put in it that makes something playable and interesting. A Steppy and 4 drum modules? Mini versions of Rings, Plaits, and Clouds? A fixed filter bank, wave shaper, mixer, pink noise, and a bunch of cheap LFOs?
