Bio: Morgen Rochard manages Origin Wealth Advisers LLC, a fee-only, registered investment advisory firm. She is also a Bitcoin financial consultant at her firm Money Owners LLC. Morgen is the author of the "Personal Financial Quickstart Guide" and a co-host on the "Bitcoin for Advisors" podcast. She is also writing a book focused on Bitcoin and personal finance. Morgen earned her Bachelor's Degree in Health Science from Boston University.

The tough thing with having a family Bitcoin night is that you will need to log every one of those transactions in your transaction tracker of choice for tax purposes if you are a US citizen.

It baffles me that someone would choose cold storage and then get an institution to hold any of your keys. Totally defeats the purpose. It's called self-custody for a reason.

Natalie, thank you for your great shows that explain things plainly to the non-technical audience. Would you be able to find someone who can assure the same audience that transacting in Bitcoin is going to be sustainable. The biggest problem that Bitcoin is facing at the moment are the rising fees. Folks who stash 100 dollars at a time may find it difficult to access these funds if they have to pay 50$ fees for a single transfer.

Morgen is right, according to the quality of work we have done in our past life, what we achieve in this life is already destined for us. If someone has the karma to become rich, they have earned their first million after ten years in the professional world. But as Morgen says, this is not the meaning of life. We are eternal beings sitting in a temporary body. We cannot take all our wealth with us because it is material. The goal should be to reach the eternal world after this life.

But if the fiat dollar goes to zero, then savings isn't going to help you much, physical gold is difficult to transport, what will you do? If you don't have BTC, then you end up with nothing for a time, except for gold of an oz or less, because when the dollar goes bust gold will sky rocket, at least for a time.

I’d love to chime in. I’ve been putting money in BTC since 2020. Bought it all the way up to 69. I use it as a savings account but cashed out my million dollar life savings account through xxxxxxx can’t say. That 275 a month in that fund is working out wayyyyy better. You can always cash some out if you need to but you’ll do everything you can not to 😊

I think it's awesome to see women who are into Bitcoin. It is much needed in the space.

The most important part of this conversation came in at the end when talking about getting women more interested in finance. We need some way to help women "get it" in a format that they immediately understand and can agree with. My own wife is only slightly orange-pilled, even after having me as a Bitcoiner husband for 6 years. I still haven't found the secret sauce that makes Bitcoin more digestible to women. That effort should be our priority.
