Actually, Monero does allow reuse of an address. But it lets you generate any number of new ones (subs) tied to that same wallet.

@@sunknudsen Atomic swaps verifiable by smart contracts in a trust less fashion is vaporware so far, right? Maybe it can't even be done in BTC. All swaps for BTC that I've seen happen over wrapped BTC, be it wBTC on ETH related chains or rBTC on RSK. Thats where I would trust Sun or someone else to verify, and maybe even dig into the code myself. But personally I'll be waiting on larger adoption before I really dig into it.

Agreed. One of the teams have already demonstrated atomic swaps on the main chain. That essentially makes Monero the privacy second layer for Bitcoin.

I literally went through hard-core kyc protocols with my btc. I had to prove where I got the btc, show receipts and transactions etc. Never again. Moving to Monero. Bitcoin is dead to me.

Your example about ATMs recording serial numbers of currency is theoretically possible. I have thought about this possibility before. Wouldn't a surveillance-obsessed society find useful data in this such as correlating bills in a cash register of a shop that has been caught selling illegal goods back to customers who potentially bought those goods? I doubt there are any legal obstacles to this type of surveillance.

Thanks Sun, I am getting up to date with your content, and I personally like to use Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Monero (XMR), for me BTC in nonsense cause to be a store of value the coin needs to be first medium of exchange, and a unit of account before being a store of value, and if BTC is not medium of exchange, and unit of account, then neither is a store of value.
