It has probably been about 6 months or so since I last showed the Bitcoin risk metric on the public channel. Now that the dust has settled somewhat, I thought it may be useful to see how the risk metric performed during the mania phase. In this video I talk about dynamic dollar-cost-averaging and how you can use this technique to systematically lower your risk! What do you think of the Bitcoin risk metric? I appreciate this. The part I misunderstood was that when the risk started coming down, I perceived that as a good thing. When really it wasn't. On the way up, increasing risk was ok, but at some point then I should have started taking profit off, and then when the risk back-tracked a % from the peak I should have exited and re-entered as it started moving back up. Disappointing that I did not understand, but it is what it is. At least I better understand now and can take advantage of this moving forward. And hopefully those of you who are just now joining will know better than I and will come up with your own strategy.

I use the premium list as a hedge against myself. Even if you think you know the space and are well versed in stats/math you can be your own worst echo chamber. I don't have other people I can banter with crypto about, so Ben is always great feedback.

In case you’re wondering, the premium list is definitely worth it. When you portfolio could change by thousands per day why wouldn’t you invest a small portion of that in understanding the risk. I got the lifetime membership and really recommend it.

Ben i use a similar risk metric based on the 50 dma and 50 wma but there's a little lag between the risk peaks and the actuals price peaks, the price moves and peaks a few days before the risk starts moving, please help

I’ve loved this chart since the first time I saw it … And I’ve set up an Excel sheet with formulas to plan my DCA out which has the percentages and such…but I do have a random question… When you explain that you sell 1/15 I get that… But when you sell 2/15 and 3/15th .. is that of the original holdings or of the bitcoin you have left after selling the first Amount ?

obviously he has a fixed amount of USD that he buys at each level. Then he sells the total of what he bought or of his total coin bag 1/15 2/15 etc. Another interesting strategy that i am doing is to buy fixed amounts of usd while going down and sell them when going up. That makes you take back your investment but in the latest stages you ll ahve huge bags left
