Bitesize Ben - It's an amazing year for cotton grass!

Every year I pick some cotton grass in my local hills, The Campsies, and take it home to put in a small pichet on the kitchen widowsill. You don't need to add water, it keeps like that for a year or more. Thanks for the film. "Friends of cotton grass!"

I agree - lots of Cotton grass on High Street (Cumbria) a week ago. Most I've ever seen.

Morning Ben, I was out walking in Weardale near my home in Co Durham a week ago & I noticed how lovely the cotton grass was looking. That & thankfully the large numbers of Curlews & Lapwings - great to see.

Autumn is my favourite season all round... But I love winter and snow too... Sadly not as much snow these days 😕 I did have an epic walk during beast from the east though which I'll always remember.

I’m with you too Ben. Summer is my least favourite seasons of the four, my only good thing about summer are the long days. Autumn is my favourite season, pleasant weather and awesome landscape transformation with all the trees turning brown and red.

Magic Ben. The bog cotton down here are not as fluffy. There like tennis balls. I'm not far from Blawhorn moss, may take a walk up with the dog before it disappears. Cheers.

I have, and camped up there. Caught train back home the following day. It was during a dry spell in May. The views are great.
