Fun fact: the reason people give people $1 on their wills is because people they left out could say they were forgotten. So with $1 they’re remembered and cannot sue for more than the will writer wished them to have.

Actually in America 5000$ is the minimum that you can leave someone without them legally disputing the will. One dollar is probably just to say they were remembered but they didn’t want to give them money.
@mclovin24083 жыл бұрын
@@conormartin3476 you shouldn’t be allowed to dispute a will, it’s a man or woman’s dying wish, it should be respected.

@@mclovin2408 Fait enough, I agree with you but I’m sure there’s some legal elements to this we don’t know, I’m sure it’s a lot more complicated than some kid yelling “dad didn’t leave me enough money!” during a will reading.
@argelion27933 жыл бұрын
For future reference for you people To contest the will, you need a valid reason. These are fairly straightforward. You need to reasonably prove the testator lacked the mental capacity to understand what was going on when the current will was signed, was pressured into changing it or that the will failed to meet state regulations and is thus not legal.
