There is no sectional CAT cutoff for BITSoM. They only look at the overall percentile. There is no overall cutoff as well. Its a mix of a healthy CAT percentile and candidate's profile.

Hello Anurag and Darshil, I have a question. During any of these steps , do they request semester-wise marksheets at any stage? Additionally, do cleared backlogs matter if I have a strong final CGPA after graduation?

Hi Darshil, Is there specific weightage for marks, experience and extra curricular while selection? I have profile of 9.2cgpa /63.23%/9.6 cgpa in 10th, 12th and ug with 29 months of work experience and Cat 90.12 percentile and have multiple awards and participation in extra curricular ( atleast 14 to 15) So should i give it a shot?

Sir BITSoM profile based hai kya? 10/12 bhot kharab hai 69 and 57 respectively and GRAD mai 8.8 cgpa. But CAT mai 95 mai. So is applying worth my money?

BITSoM has a profile based admission. That is why you will find a huge difference in lowest and highest CAT percentiles for the batch of 2025. Having said that, there is still hope for you despite not so good marks in 10th and 12th. Their selection criteria considers of non academic aspects of your profile as well. So if you have a few good spikes in your profile you can still get a call.

The names associated with the college are very impressive. The governing council has people from senior leadership positions of different companies. The faculty profile is exceptional with most of them from top global universities and organizations. The average CTC they claim is 19.3 lacs for AI & DS and 17.52 for DM & MC Course. These numbers are decent considering its a new college. However, your choices will be limited in Jio Institute since they offer only 3 courses and all 3 of them are very niche. Since its a 1 year program it will be difficult to switch the domain. (This can also be seen from the fact that they prefer people with relevant work experience in the same domain. So its a good option if you are very sure that you want to study a very specific thing and you want to make a career in it, if you are not sure and want to explore options, a traditional 2 year MBA is recommended.

We do have around 20% freshers. To stand a fair chance of getting an interview, you need to have a good profile, you need to make sure that you have a decent entrance exam score. Please include things that make you stand out like internships, extra curricular and other achievements. Make sure you write a good essay which brings out the best version of you. All the best!

if you look at the class profile of 2023 - 25, the CAT percentiles had a range of 80 to 99. With a median CAT percentile of 94. That means you will find 50% of the batch at percentiles below 94 and 50% above it. This makes BITSOM one of the very few colleges which focuses on the profiles a lot. There is no definition of an ideal profile that BITSOM loves, its more about "You" and your reason of pursing MBA from BITSOM.

Hey Darshil, I am a general non engineer male with 91%, 90%, and 84% in grad in Pharmacy. So what would be the safe percentile for me for Bitsom? Can you kindly give an approximation? Just to have an idea.

If you dont have work ex, a percentile of 94-05+ will be a safe percentile to get the interview call. However since BITSoM hasnt released any cutoff officially its very difficult to predict a safe score, esp when its clubbed with profile based calls

Darshil, can you please tell what percent of students got placed from campus? Is it 100% placement or less than that?

Hi Tanmay The placements at BITSOM are 100%. There will be few students from every to college who do not wish to participate in the placement process, but whoever opts for it gets it. And this is true for all top B-Schools of India. At least you don't need to worry about getting placed. The real question is - Do you get role/company/industry/location/culture of your choice or not ?

Hello Sagnik 1- In round 1, BITSoM gives calls to people who have submitted their GMAT/GRE scores. There's nothing like profile based calls or score based calls. 2- You can book a profile evaluation slot on the BITSOM website with either a student or the admin team. We'll give you an idea about what do you need to furnish for a good application

The GMAT score range of the batch of 2023-2025 was 600 - 770. Median GMAT score for the batch of 2025 was 690. Theoretically you have a very good chance of getting the call, however looking at this range its' clear that BITSOM focusses a lot on the overall profile of the aspirants. There is no answer for what can be a safe score since we don't know the weightage for entrance test scores, but you have a good chance of the interview call provided your profile is slightly better than most of the applicants.

Hello Darshil, I wish you well. While I was going through multiple websites and BITS MBA brochure itself, I still could not figure it out whether BAAT conducted by BITS Pilani is compulsory as there was no mention of BAAT on multiple webpages but the brochure said I have to appear for BAAT as well. Can I apply with my CAT/XAT score only? Expecting to hear from you, regards.

Hi Bhuvnesh, you need to go through BITSoM's website and not BITS Pilani's website. BITS Pilani MBA (Dept of Management) is different from BITSoM. BAAT is not applicable for BITSoM. For BITSoM you can submit your CAT/GRE/GMAT scores.
