I thought, at first, how this video will be too quiet. But I found myself concentrating more without disruptions from music or talking. I'm excited to try and make this journal for my wife, thank you!

In all the arts and crafts I have ever done, a workshop I took to bind a journal was my absolute favorite. I have never forgotten the blissful trance it all became for me. Thank you for bringing me back to a beautiful memory!

I recently got into making my own sketchbooks at night before I go to bed and I really like to do it my sewing skills are not great but they are good enough to make the sketchbooks and I’m really happy with the results

I have been wanting to add a nicer cover to my sketchbooks. I almost feel like I can do it after watching your video. I really didn't want to fool with a spine at the moment. I will re-watch the video. Thanks for sharing.

Do you have a list somewhere of the equipment that you are using - for instance what is the board that you used for the covers, what sort of glue are you using to stick on that absolutely lovely cover paper etc. Thank you

Wow I am retired. I could watch you all day long . Iam going to try the first of doing a journal . I have a friend that journals and I sent her two . I could not see how the cover was sewn onto the signature. Beautiful work. Just will have to find a video close up dealing with cover attachment.

Is there a reason to run the paper through a copying machine first, and then use it for book binding? Or it is just a way to show what kind of paper used in this video?

Beautiful, I can never get my printer to print on both sides perfectly. it always shifts something a couple of mm and you can see through from the other side the misaligment.

Beautiful! What type of paper is used to cover the book covers, and the weight of it if you know? It seems to take the wet glue very well.

It's called chiyogami paper and it's 70 gsm. My favourite paper to work with.

There are multiple vendors selling online, look up “chiyogami paper”. I get them from Etsy and any vendors that show up on Google in my region.

I use 28 lb/105 gsm paper. I found a dot grid template online to print!

Sorry for all of the questions😅 I want to try to make my next bullet journal, since I’ve fallen in love with bookbinding and am trying to figure out how to get the best quality match to the ones I’ve purchased.

That's a fun endeavour! I have only used tombow markers on the paper and there is no ghosting or bleeding. Not sure about other brands. Mohawk superfine paper is the brand I use currently and it holds fountain pens quite well too.
