I sent them an email feature request a while ago about the auto-scrolling, it's a really nice improvement and definitely helps reduce the endless manual scrolling you have to do but I did hope they would also make it auto-scroll when you open the modulation panel AND when you click the modulation itself to access its options, this still causes tons of scrolling...but at least this is a step in the right direction!

Oh this is a really important addition. The old default was definitely not my preference, this is great! This is exactly what I want out of my purchase/subscription-like thing... Continual improvement, even to the little things. Except this isn't little, it's super useful!

That's cool, but if they listened to the community at all, they could have made other changes. For example, redesign Arranger a bit so that you can color not only the audio file itself, but also the Arranger panel. So that I can see the values on the automation line without having to point and click on a point. Some colors on the big screen are almost invisible and you have to look closely and unfortunately the user cannot change some colors in Bitwig. I also wanted to have not only a “GUI Marker” on top, but also to make it so that I could color-code a whole segment in my project. I like the program, but there are some “items” that are annoying, and I don't understand why they can't make them so that the user can choose. Thanks for the video.

Really awesome, that they listen an try to fix such things. I would love if Bitwig would save the window position and size of all the plugin instances You use in Your file so You don´t have to reposition all Your plugs on Your screen(s) each time You open a file. That would be very handy espaecially for monitoring or complex channel strips.
@michail_7772 күн бұрын
Everything stays the way it was when I closed it. I'm not sure about all VST/FX, but most of my synths and FX plugins are consistently the size I set.And they stay in the place (in the arranger) where I left them.

Thank You for your passion Man! I am user of 4.4 Bitwig and I tried to record my live performence in bitwig in one of tracks. During having fun I changed tempo few times. After that I looked at recorded sample and I was disappointed seeing waveform with no tempo changes. Now, I made a workaround by inputing mixed analog audio signal into Goldwave (another soft). For sure record should have RAW mode if I understood correctly that function.

7:58 A UI annoyance for me is when you've got a sub-chain open on a device (like the [Pre] section in the Amp device or whatever) and you then click to toggle-close the sub-chain, the chain's scroll position immediately snaps to as far to the right as it can, often causing your brain to completely lose context of the interface you just clicked. When closing sub-chains like this, the chain window should temporarily allow "overscroll" so that [Pre] button you just clicked stays exactly where it was. If you then scrolled left, the 'max scroll position' would follow until the normal X limit was reached again. Currently, every time you close a sub chain on the right-most device in a chain it's like someone just slapped you in the face.
@PolarityMusic3 күн бұрын
yes, i have this all the time. its probably better to leave empty space instead of scrolling? not sure what would be the best option there.

@honestaussie50642 күн бұрын
I don't really understand why audio file stretching is so complicated in Bitwig and Ableton. In Cubase you simply have a "linear" time related or a musical" tempo related mode. Linear follows time, musical follows tempo (the grid). Any other type of audio file stretching is done manually with a time stretch tool. I have purchased Bitwig but I haven't used it yet because of these kind of quirky concepts that don't really make sense to me. I agree that Bitwig definitely needs a raw mode in the Record / bounce / stretch mode.
@lawinter19493 күн бұрын
Yes, can you make a video on the audio recording behavior for us vocalists, then maybe they will change how overdubs that pass the original length a recording create a newclip after the OG recording ends instead of just extending it. Also merging audio clips that both have takes in them deletes all the takes in both OG clips. Maybe they will listen to you!!!

I just wish they would add timestretch in the sampler... I can't for the life of me understand why they wouldn't give this option. Most other DAWS have this as a basic feature :(
@PolarityMusic2 күн бұрын
the sampler has a stretch mode. and you can influence the playback speed. and you can change it even manually with a ramp signal. or random modulations.
@Mrdjhappyman2 күн бұрын
@@PolarityMusic I mean actual time stretching. Granular is great but it doesn't do a better job than time stretching samples in the arranger then importing. It's such a time consuming process to bounce each note and create multisample Something like how FL Studies uses Elastique mode, simpler has a function like it, studio one has it too. Having to mess with modulation to achieve a result that isn't as good isn't the same

It's there a way we get freezeing function in Bitwig?

👍 I'll have to try this but does the Import - Analyze Tempo create a Tempo Map ? Or does it Stretch and Squeeze the incoming audio on to one fixed tempo ?
@ravivpinhas97409 сағат бұрын
Look pretty confusing... I think it will be better if each time u drag a sample Bitwig will open a popup and ask what to do + an option to "never show this again" that use the stretch modes you set in the software settings. Because of this Bitwig behavior, Most of the time I drag my samples to a drum machine (i guess it Raw)
