I think the basic point of the SnapBack plugin is that its easy to use. You can also add samples manually to your drum hits if you wanted to to create the same effect. For the price I think its good. But then I'm lazy.

Like every other Cableguys plugin, I directly bought it. They only make very good and useful plugins, in my opinion! Amazing tool!

May i inquire - do you get income from music? Just curious bc that's a lot of plugin purchases.
@olivermaier-landshut3047Ай бұрын
@@GeorgeLocke Yes, I do. It‘s my main job. And no, that are not much plugins. Most of their modules are included in Shaperbox 3. The complete bundle is 149$ right now (Black Friday sale), so that‘s a nobrainer. Waves, Softube, Native, Plugin-Alliance…those are huge plugin libraries…

Bravo! 👏Always bringing the goods. The delay introduced by the plugin is high but not too painful if you bounce down, but your approach is great. Bitwig FTW!
@michail_777Ай бұрын
Thank you.. I agree with you, it's still important how the interface looks. I mean it's very convenient and fast.So Snapback is a really useful plugin out of the many useless ones that have been released by the millions:)

Is Bitwig not the best cost/performance DAW on the market right now?
@va941Ай бұрын
Not really, depends what features you want, witbig STILL lacks audio over dub.

@@va941 Does it have a possibility to drag n drop grouptrack to browser to save MIDI/audio tracks with routings? For example using Maschine 2 and routing 16 outputs to audiotracks n saving all this into browser as a grouptrack.. and not as a template of a whole project.

I switched from Reaper to Bitwig over the summer and I have to say there are some things I miss. Track templates, ARA support, stretch markers for audio events. I still record and edit vocals in Reaper because of this, but for everything else Bitwig is my go-to.

@@quantum_ocean cost/performance? Well Image Line gives you the most tools for the least amount of money plus lifetime of free updates, but I have a feeling most producers don't want to use FL

I bought it after watching a demo because i found it really cool. But of course i should have waited a few days for your video… I do like the snapback feature, even for DnB because it makes the drums a bit more organic. But normally when i use that technique, i do to snares and only on one snare per bar. And you can also trigger it with midi if you don’t want every hit to have the snapback, i guess

I rather chop and paste my own samples and have no latency , these days too many plugins on the market that you actually don't need imho.

@MULTIMAN-MUSICАй бұрын
Agreed, it’s also something you are going to do kind of repetitively… so once you have chosen the right sample, envelope and so on, is a matter of copy paste or duplicating… The snap back effect it was quite common in psytrance around the 2000-2010 but to be honest is a quite outdated technique these days…
@ItallivingАй бұрын
@@MULTIMAN-MUSIC Indeed. Fully agreeing with that

@@MULTIMAN-MUSIC Indeed, Fully agreed with that statement 😉
@MULTIMAN-MUSICАй бұрын
@@Italliving Also, in psytrance for example you would only do this “reverse” thingy on the snare and only in a few notes, not the whole pattern, it adds something groovy that is cool so again, not all the time… I think adding this all the time it reduces the impact or variation that is good for… maybe I’m getting old lol buts there are sooo many plug-ins, new stuff all the time but is just shortcuts for stuff that is “easy” to do manually.

152.5 ms latency is actually unacceptable in my opinion. From a workflow speed-up perspective the plugin is pretty handy. but it doesn't outweigh the latency in my honest opinion. I find around 45ms for realtime pitch-shifting already a lot and the absolute maximum. Cool though! but not for me, i'd rather set up a reversed sample myself, and layer a sample with a simple drag and drop avoiding 152.5ms of fkin PDC hahaha Edit: Forgot the price... thats actually pretty decent!

A LOT of plugins nowadays are just to get some earnings by allowing you doing something that you can perfectly do manually on any DAW, as a huge BT fan I'd buy it, but I don't see it as a must have like Stutter Edit or BreakTweaker, so I'll pass on this one!
