New EQ is a good alternative to Pro-Q 2/3. Saturator is my new favorite saturation tool. It's so flexible. Can both sound subtle and harsh. Can be used on anything and beef up any track. Lots of new possibilities with the new selector modes. Drum Machine returns me and everyone else have wanted for ages. Some for Tool going to -inf dB. Solid update!

Pretty excited about the arp improvements. At one point, it’s becoming a powerful tool for #SemiGenerative music without becoming too complicated. So, adding niceties while “tightening up” some existing features. Sounds like a pretty solid point release, even though it may not check many boxes in people’s wishlists. Given Bitwig’s development pace, I wouldn’t be that surprised if BWS4 came out before the end of the year.

The new features look OK, But what I really was hoping for was that they add a comping mode...Something that I know has been requested by many for a long long time. I know there are alternative techniques, which I have tried, but nothing compares to an actual comping mode, like that in Cubase. Any idea if and when this feature will be added? Edited: I should’ve been more specific… What I want is a comping mode that works well for MIDI.

it's not quite Comping but highlighting multiple audio tracks and clicking on the clip view is not too far from what you're looking for

@Alckemy I’ve seen this video before… but, at least a portion of this approach, appears to rely on bouncing the selected sections of audio from a group track to a single audio track. Which, for audio, is probably a reasonable approach. I probably should’ve been more specific in my comment… What I really want is comping of MIDI tracks. Is there a Way of using this approach for MIDI tracks? … And if not, is such a feature in the pipeline for Bitwig?

I love using Bitwig for sound design... and this, great stock eq. When I think that i have to use protools for my film projects... bleh. There is eq where each point is locked on specific band and I can't see spectrum there,. My dream is that Bitwig supports video :D

I’m having an issue in bitwig 3, my presets aren’t getting saved, or they are and I can’t see them in the directory to Load them up. When I try to save again it says the preset already exists do you want to replace it. Don’t understand what I’m doing wrong?

You can already download the Beta version from your user account page, if you have a Bitwig Studio license with an active Upgrade Plan. The final release of Bitwig Studio 3.2 will be in Q2 of 2020.

Still, the basics are missing: flexible note stretching is still missing, so I have to use ableton for that, but since there's no clip export, its also a big hassle. Damn it

Wow that is something I have never even heard of before. Just because they aren't fitting your exact, obscure niche absolutely perfectly doesn't mean they aren't doing legitimate work. I, for one, am glad they made this new EQ which 90% of bitwiggers will end up using.

I bough bitwig some time ago. I have not renewed because it doesn't even have MIDI stretch! For those who like to record without a click track to get an idea down, you have to export the midi to a different daw (even a free one) and do the stretch to 4 or 8 bars there and import it back into Bitwig. Sorry, could care less about all the other enhancements. I don't even use it anymore. What a waste.
