While there are a ton of videos out there from the community for Bitwig, I must say I do love this new series from Bitwig themselves that get straight to the point and show exactly how the bitwig product team envision using the product. I like that there isn't a ton of hype, intros, outros and pleas for subscribes and likes, and they are in easy to digest, bite size pieces. Even this one,which is aimed at beginners is super useful for more advanced people coming to the product from another DAW imho. As you can tell, I am extremely enthusiastic here. Thumbs up 👍

Came for for a rundown of basic audio recording and editing. It started out good and then it quickly went off the rails into slicing things up in a sampler and drum machine. Very cool tips that I'll use, but coming from other DAWs, I'm really looking for editing tips, punching in and out, etc.

As someone who just purchased Bitwig yesterday, I really appreciate your video series! I've been obsessively watching them all since I decided I wanted to save up for Bitwig and they've really helped me get started. I love these vids and I love your product, keep up the good work!

It was a good opportunity to show how one can record audio takes (using post-recording actions of Clip Launcher) and then comp it (using Layers in Detail Editor and bounce-in-place on Group track), in response to Live 11's new features. Otherwise, I'm not really sure what's the purpose of those videos? They're too simplistic for those that know Bitwig and probably still to complex for total newbies?

The world is in desperate need of tutorials for beginners as there is just a few hundred of them here on KZbin (sarcasm).

I bought a Bitwig license and just switched to REAPER because I can't seem to figure out if Bitwig supports my current workflow. So I agree. Was hoping to find something about loop recording. I bought a guitar, which I don't know how to play. I want to record one note, then layer another note on the next loop, and so on. Mashing hotkeys between layers to insert new tracks isn't gonna cut it, but I'd be happy to switch back if they show some love for live looping

Please add comping and ARA support. That would really make it! Great DAW already though!
@leonardocaminati64324 жыл бұрын
Please introduce audio comping functionality, it doesn't make sense that a DAW doesn't do comping in 2020. If you are writing a song and you're trying out vocal lines, you've do duplicate the track all the time. It's so frustrating and nonsense.

Great series. Separate inputs and outputs are available only on OSX, right? There is a limitation with ASIO in Windows, you have to select only one device and use both that device's inputs and outputs. Correct me if I'm wrong. I wish I could do this in Windows!

I would have liked to have seen more of what can be done with the guitar that you recorded. I know you've adding comping, which is awesome. Can you re-amp? Do you have anything that helps with multi-tracking?

Please have a workflow only update next Bitwig. As you can see, majority of your requests are for workflow features.

@Vic LTD I believe they'd attract even more customers with a combination of all the unique grid, instrument & modulation features it's known for AND killer workflow features that currently have many users on the fence
@roadtotheears4 жыл бұрын
@Vic LTD Yes they are missing a lot but if they focused on an update entirely on workflow features, they would catch up fairly quickly and satisfy a lot of existing and new users. Comping, capture record, groove pool, piano roll editing enhancements, drum/pattern sequencer, time stretching in the sampler, ARA2, and much more can be focused on. Surely they can take an update off from the grid, modulation and devices

Hey Bitwig, I just wanted to bring up an odd bug that when you have a multi output device set as the output (for live streaming) it deactivates any kind of input. It doesn't work whatsoever. I've raised a ticket with Bitwig a while ago but would love you all to take a look at it for us Bitwig content creators. Thank you!
