All the broadcasters were rabidly jumping on this trend at the time, trying to show off their fancy new graphics in super “quirky” ways to pull in viewers when a simple bar chart would do. Much like companies today adding AI to everything that doesn’t need it. Charles Kennedy, Michael Howard… man, I haven’t heard these names in a long time!

I worked at Pixar in the 2000's and this was not normal graphics. My first year college project looked better than this in 2004. This was particularly horrible and low effort graphics for that time.

@@hannah42069Not really. 2005 was the year the 360 came out. The PS3 was just a year away. HL2, Doom 3, FarCry and F.E.A.R. were released by then as well. RE4 on the GameCube was a stunner too. At best, it looks like a low-budget, early PS2 game with a slightly higher polycount to justify making individual fingers but not animating them. There's not even the justification on a lot going on. While I'm certain that they probably couldn't make it state of the art for the era, they could have either gone on par or did without.
