You touched minimum wage, and this is a typical scenario in my household. There is a wage, good food, headache powders, rainy days when it is not possible to do required work but wage must be paid, family problems and very often dissappearing of items like smoke in the wind. It is a mouthful but all the trouble not worth to employ someone.
