When I was 16 and playing for a British Legion darts team in Norwich, England I was a very confident young player with a taste and record for winning. One week a rural Norfolk team turned up to play us, I was paired with a guy I actually worked with, we were considered the strongest pair on our team. We got to play a couple of old boys wearing jackets and my memory while not perfect (this is nearly 40 years ago) remembers at least one of them still playing with lead weighted darts with feathered flights. We got hammered!! 😂
