Wow you did a great job. One day Id like to purchase all the supplies and try my hand at this. I want to get a practice head first cause I cant bear to remove my girls' factory faceups (plus Id feel like I wasted money if I did Lol). DollieLovex3 thank you so much! If I may suggest, they sell BJD practice heads on Alice’s Collections for like $20-$25 USD. They are super great for helping people who are new to faceups! ^_^

Thanks for the video! Love seeing faceup tutorials. Pan pastels you can order online from Michaels, sometimes they have a good sale and you can get them for $4 each.

This may be a stupid question. I just started my first project and I cannot get my watercolor pencils to draw ANYTHING! Are you using them wet?

Hi! I have experienced the same problem as you before and it was because there wasn’t enough tooth on the doll’s surface, at least, that was what had happened to me. I had found that additional layers of MSC or matte varnish helped. The watercolor pencils are used dry.

What an exquisite face-up! I noticed at the beginning, and once again around the 51 minute mark you discredit your self by saying you do things differently than other BJD artists, and that maybe your methods aren't like anybody else's. To that I say "WHO CARES?!" I've learned more from you in the last 53+ minutes than I have in the past 9 years! And when the end result is as gorgeous as this, if you tell me to stand on my head while working on a face-up, I'll say "Hell, yeah, let's get this party started" while the blood runs to my head. :D I have 3 dark skin Hujoo babies I've been putting off since you could still buy them from JunkySpot and Ebay (from Mimiwoo), and two 1:4 girls that are currently in transit; one dark skin and one light (think Ebony and Ivory), and after watching this, I think I'm finally up for the challenge. Thank you SO very much for the knowledge-share; I personally think you're the shit. ;3

po121op using Mr Super Clear definitely takes some patience. I tried to do everything in one of two layers and I just couldn’t! I like to use black, and it requires several layers of adding black over black to make it dark. It takes a while, but I find it relaxing to work on faceups :)

Mr. Scratch funny you mention that! I literally had a clip and somehow I didn’t add it into iMovie, because the clip was so much shorter than the other video clips, I assumed it was an “oops” video, which I had like 500 of lol. I will make a separate video soon on how I apply MSC soon. :)

Can I ask something stupid?😂 I am new at that so... I ordered a minifee.. At the image she had makeup but at the informations I saw "no makeup". When she come will she be like the photo or I will have to do what you are doing at this video? Please answer bc I can't understand!😂🙏

Ευα Παπα That isn’t a stupid question! It’s totally okay to ask that hehe. All Minifees come with no makeup unless you pay extra for a faceup. So she will come blank, and you’ll need to do a faceup

Ευα Παπα if there is no makeup option, then they might not offer makeup for the doll at all. Sometimes if a doll is sold as a full set there is no option for makeup because it comes with makeup already but that is rare.
