That balloon animation reveal was great. Such a nice little detail that adds so much character. Putting in that little extra work, like the lighting change on the surfaces, really brings it together. Sometimes I struggle with that because it seems so finished already. Awesome work Brandon!!!

"Avengers is the most ambitious crossover." BJG: Hold my pixel! Wholesome video! Also I just want to say that I love your work; it clearly shows your passion and talent. This is, by far, my favourite Pixel Art YT channel. Thanks for sharing and inspiring us. Finally, today's trivia: Pixel comes as a contraction of PICTure ELement. It is the digital counterpart of the concept of Point in drawing as the minimum graphic unit provided with a shape and color. Have a great week!

Really feeling Nano's energy with the constant acquisition of new balloons there 😁✨ It's like how you have the crowd that carefully looks over all the instructions before trying a new gadget, and then you have the crowd that just hits all the buttons and figures it out on their own hahaha I was wondering myself how you'd do it but I thought it was really neat how you lead/tailed that animation with the materializing/glow of the amulet. That was a great way to show where the source of the power was coming from! ⚡
@BJGpixel3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha exactly, it's the approach where the solution is just _moar balloons!_ 😅 Thanks for noticing the detail with the amulet persisting, it's only a few pixels but makes it feel like an item that's in use 😁

Love your stuff Brandon! I saw you like to use PS for animation (as do I) and I love using animdessin 2. It's a free plug-in for PS and makes animating on separate layers for different timing much easier. Plus the GUI is nice and simple. Definitely not getting paid to say that, lol. I just really like it and thought you would enjoy it too from one artist to another. Thanks for being so consistent on putting out great pixel art too!

This made me think, have you tried making something with two noticeably different resolutions of pixel art in the same piece? As in, sizing up the lower res part and adding a higher res bunch of details/characters/settings/etc, or however you'd do it. I'm not sure if it's an actual good idea or of it just sounds cool...
